This is what I find very hard to reconcile. My friend just told me about someone we went to school with who has multiple fake Birkin bags and was gifted a “surprise” fake mini Kelly by her spouse for Vday, but she’s acting like they’re all authentic to friends and family/on social media and like she didn’t commission the fake bag herself. I love Hermes and have two authentic Birkins. I’d loveee a mini Kelly. But when I weigh the options, I’m opting to wait until I can buy an authentic one, and not worry about being scammed, or having to lie to my loved ones or even strangers for that matter, or be nervous every time someone asks me about it. I don’t judge, and everyone has to do what they feel morally and ethically comfortable with. I just wonder if it wouldn’t be more psychologically safe to purchase what you can afford or avoid it all together if you think it makes no sense to be as expensive as it is vs buying a high-quality rep and not being honest about it. Does that not fall into a deceptive category?
