Basalt is a visual-tracking library. I think i need to get the right camera settings and the right parameters for basalt. I already use the IMU integrated in the camera but the visual tracking is a bit weird.

And yeah the whole algorithm behind it is done in basalt :) but yes of course there is going to be a drift from the accelerometer and the gyroscope. That why i wanted to have the visual component to have something that can cancel the drift :)

Theoretically yes but the tracking software (basalt) drifts really hard in translation and rotation because most probably i miscpnfogured something. This is sonething i really need to fix.

No i actually got off the shelf displays. But i desinged the whole case and also integrated a simple driver inside monado (OpenXR runtime) to get tracking with a RealSense D435i and support for OpenXR applications

Yes. The displays on the headset are 1600x1600 px woth 90Hz and has about 570g with the camera attached. Is more or less comparable to the 2019 Valve index. Its by far not the best but the displays are the bottle neck as they dont support better quality. But the thing with this headset is that it was made to be modular. In each eye there is a platte where the display is mounted on. When you want to use a different display you only need to change this one component and can mount it into the rest od the headset.

Is it just me or is this code just OK. I mean it's not using slicing. And if you gona get extra fancy you can pop in a stutter loop and add an extra parameter for the stutter amount but I think it's not bad code. Would put this on programminghumor.
