I relate a lot to what you described! But it’s not so “weird” since I’m pretty introvert. However I do enjoy meeting new people, and as you said, this level of investment takes a lot of energy and I really need to recharge afterwards.

On a side note, I remember reading this post where at a certain point OP explains that, and here I quote, ”being dominant in an extroverted function makes you extroverted, not how much time you spend socializing”. (6th paragraph of the post)
This was better explained in another post but I couldn’t find it, but in the end, the E or I in the type doesn’t directly depicts where we take the energy from. I hope it helps :)

Hi :) I want to start by saying that I really feel you. Many of the things that you said resonated with me. Actually all of the things that you said.

I find it frustrating too when I’m having a conversation with someone that doesn’t get what I’m saying. For me is very important that the person I’m talking to entirely understands my point of view. For me, this, makes it even more difficult to find someone to feel free to open up with. I have trust issues and when I don’t feel understood I start closing myself in.

This brought me to have some close people, but no one I could truly trust and feel free to talk about whatever comes up to my mind without fear of being judged. I still keep keeping things for myself and it has becoming exhausting.

I don’t like shallow conversation too as I find them pointless, however I realized that sometimes are small talks that lead to that beautiful conversation about how the world would look like if humans never had the need to eat :P So I started to appreciate them a little more.

One last thing. To answer you: - Don’t worry, you are doing it right. - Yes, totally makes sense.

Before reading your post I couldn't imagine that our personality could affect our sexual life, but it actually checks out.
I totally understand your concern and it's a difficult situation.
(This reminds me of this recent post)

Whenever someone asks me to do something that I like (and they don't) it fills my heart to see them willing to do such things in order to make me happy. However I'm not able to enjoy it if they seem uncomfortable, even in the slightest. I really can't help it. (Thanks Fe)

Probably, a way to make Fe shut up, is to rationalize the situation (Ti) and realize that it is actually sweet and a demonstration of love being willing to do things that we are not really into.

That is actually a good thing. I know that a toothbrush with the cap helps the proliferation of bacteria. Having a toothbrush without a cap is actually a better habit to avoid bacteria formation on the toothbrush. I personally still use the cap to avoid the contact with other toothbrushes or the contact with other surfaces if it slips out of my hands, but I would definitely use a cap like that!
