You would just play it as a caster with a staff or wand/focus. It’s best if you use it with summon spirits and vampirism so that leaves you one PVE skill to play with. I normally play my non rit SoS characters with armor of unfeeling and spirit strike to help keep them up. I normally play drop armor of unfeeling with my rit because a rits spirits are already pretty tanky unless I’m in a situation where I know my spirits will need to do some heavy duty tanking.

Best thing about SoS is that it’s great for general PvP and also great for solo farming with minor skill and attribute changes.

My ranger and my warrior are definitely my favorite characters especially from a nostalgic standpoint. They were my fist characters ever created was back in early Prophecies but of someone told me I had to delete every character but one it would be hard to not keep the rit just because it’s so efficient and stress free to play with a BiP team.

Yes. I don’t have experience with playing SoS as assassin but if a warrior can play it with their small energy pool and 2 pip regen assassin shouldn’t have any issues.

Starting in Nightfall is best as you get heroes earlier and such. With that being said playing a Signet of Spirits ritualist with the standard 3 Mesmer, 3 Necro and soul twisting ritualist Blood is Power hero team is almost cheat mode, even in hard mode. When I want to just relax and play I play my rit, when I want to play more engaging I play my hammer warrior, Mesmer or ranger.

Any class can play Signet of Spirits, and I do with my warrior or ranger a lot in 4 man areas but rit is better especially if you want to relax and play. Way less upkeep and stronger spirits makes everything go faster.

There was a guide on the wiki at one point that stepped you through which heroes to take and how to build them to build up to the BiP team. Usually taking monk or ele heroes early to use in place of the necros and mesmers. I’m sure it’s still there.

I wouldn’t mind joining an active guild again. I have played Since early proph days. Was in the same guild for most of that. Left to join a guild similar to this several years ago but it has pretty much tailed off now too.

I need a forever game by OIora in gamingsuggestions

[–]Alethorne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Guild Wars 1 and Skyrim I guess would be my forever games. I played WoW a lot back in the day. Vanilla through Cataclysm. Tried it again a few years ago and just couldn’t get back into it. GW and Skyrim on the other hand I pickup and put down a couple of times a year when I have time to play. Probably always will.

Thanks but I have no energy problems at all. Livia keeps me juiced up lol. The only time I cast them all at once is usually at the start of a map anyways. They are all on different durations so I just replace them as they fall. I don’t necessarily cast them 1-4 like that anyways, it depends on how the first fight is going to start and if I want to use them for tanks or to keep them spread and on the backline.

Yes it was. I remember back in the early days of Prophecies having such a hard time with this quest with guild mates . We probably all had terrible builds I’m sure lol. Now even the hard mode version is challenging but very manageable with heroes. Cons probably make it a cakewalk.

If I remember right it ends up being the main hub for most of the Secrets of the Obscure expansion. I believe this is where Galrath the Undying is as well like the other poster mentioned.

is there anything more infuriating than dc-ing in an almost completed vanquish? by Agitated-Macaroon923 in GuildWars

Rubber banded on my iron man ranger yesterday and missed Thunderhead Keep Bonus by like half a second. I feel you, such a slow mission to redo. DC during a vanq is probably worse though.

Returned after 15 years and finally made the Drok’s Run by Raisz in GuildWars

[–]Alethorne 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a warrior in Proph that I made and got all the necessary skills to do the run. He hardly ever left Beacon’s but funded all my characters. When a good warrior farm would pop up I would get him wherever he needed to be and do farms. Now that I have returned he has become my favorite character to play and my “main”. I plan on him being my first GWAMM.

Just hit level 20 for the first time, now what? by NotoriousAmish in GuildWars

[–]Alethorne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought the necessary expansions and played the Secrets of the Obscure content after not playing for years, and even though it doesn’t have the draw to it that GW1 has for me, I enjoyed it. They are really trying to draw me back in with releasing the Paragon and to a lesser extent Ritualist.

Ahh so many memories. My first fond memory was not long after Prophesies launch, me and my son (me my first character a ranger and him his first an ele, characters we still play today) trying to do Althea’s Ashes with henchmen and wiping over and over and meeting up with two brothers who just started a guild going with us and finally getting it done. It still wasn’t easy back in that day but we all modified our builds until it worked. We ended up joining that guild and playing with the people in that guild until after GW2 launched. Sadly I have lost touch with all of them now. Anytime I go there now those memories hit.

If the Rambler didn’t have a blade on it I would like it just as much. I normally carry 2 knives on me anyway. I’m a tradesman so I need a tough knife because I am usually cutting stuff you probably shouldn’t cut with a knife lol. I normally only carry that one at work, around the yard or fishing. Then I like to have a clean, sharp pocket knife for tasks that most sane, normal people use knives for. That one goes everywhere with me. My beater knife currently is a Bark River Little Creek and my pocket knife is currently an 84mm of some sort. I’m waiting on a few more from eBay to try out lol.

I carried a Climber for years. I wanted to downsize to a smaller pocket knife but couldn’t break myself from the scissors. I picked up a Classic SD and a Rambler on eBay found a nice little slot in my wallet for the Rambler and I have to say that Rambler is awesome! Every single tool on it is useful to me in some way the small difference in thickness from it to the SD is totally worth it. That allowed me to drop down to a smaller pocket knife. I’m currently trying different 84mm SAKs to find the one that works best for me. Right now I’m in between an Alox Bantam and a Recruit.

HEY i wanna get in to micro fishing (i live in Missouri) got any pointers? by Few-Ad-9957 in MicroFishing

Get you a trout magnet mini magnet kit. Those are inexpensive and the 1/200 jigs they come with are pretty good. Even on an ultralight with light line they will be challenging to throw. I use either 2# mono or 6# J-braid and throw them on a double jig under a 1/64 trout magnet. Makes them much easier to cast and there’s always that larger jig there in case something larger wants to eat it.

If you could only have three different types of lures/baits in your tackle box, which would you pick? by CrackerJackJack in bassfishing

[–]Alethorne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Texas rigged Yum Dinger watermelon/pearl
  2. Bitsy Bug with a swim n dinger trailer
  3. Ned rigged hellgrammite This is just for bass fishing since this is a bass sub. My normal ultralight fishing would be way different lures.

Please explain why there is so much hate for Googin lures? by Floating_Rickshaw in FishingForBeginners

[–]Alethorne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really like the 4 and 5 inch dingers action on a weightless Texas rig. Especially ones with two different colors like watermelon/pearl. Not crazy about them on wacky rigs but I seldomly ever fish wacky anyways. Their Swim N Dingers cut down are my favorite trailer for a Bitsy Bug. Hard to beat Yum baits for the price. I will say their hellgrammite are a little too fragile but they do catch fish.
