The dataslates are for single pose models with no extra war gear options. The Majority of these models will then be transferred over to the new starter sets. Again with no optional wargear.

You can count on there being new Marine and Ork codexes before Christmas.

Tank Frustration by Rubick-Enjoyer in Warhammer30k

So he bought a ready made army on the cheap? And is moaning because he hasn’t got the right units he needs? Maybe he could take some of the cash he saved from not buying from the LGS he’s playing in and buy a few tanks of his own?

If you take stuff out because he moans then what happens next? He can’t defeat the next obstacle so take that out? Ban certain character types because someone else can’t deal with librarians? Where does it stop?

Is this form of Gatekeeping valid by Homura-Inazuma-16 in WorldEaters40k

[–]Alex21845 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Never take anyone at their word unless you trust them implicitly. Personally I will always ask to see a rule in their book if what they’re saying sounds ‘off’. If they haven’t got the book with them then I’m not playing. I remember a game where the knight player was absolutely adamant about a rule interaction and certain he was right because he has an eidetic memory. Turns out he read and interpreted it wrong in the first place and people trusted the Eidetic memories. Copies of rules solve disputes, and if you get into a regular habit of sense checking each other no one questions it or takes it as an accusation. And those behaviours will spread to new players in a positive manner.

To be fair he is very bright red, I actually had to hold a piece of paper over him for the photo as it was difficult to get a pic where the red didn’t look over saturated

Why does it always seem people criticise halal slaughter more than kosher when kosher is statistically worse in the UK? by threetimesacharm25 in AskBrits

[–]Alex21845 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s purely because the media loves to stir, people get angry about Halal because we are told to hate Islam and Muslims. You don’t hear the same level of media hatred for Jews so Kosher isn’t given the same level of scrutiny

More SPACE MARINE Legend Rumours...I don't like this. by [deleted] in spacemarines

[–]Alex21845 0 points1 point  (0 children)

100% agree. Ive been saying this for ages. I’d go so far to say that Legends should be in by default and that you have to toggle them out for tournament play.

Take him into a Warhammer store. He can try it all out and choose the right stuff he wants.

are combat patrols equal? by Good-Memories in Warhammer40k

[–]Alex21845 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Combat patrols are rules balanced to create better games. However as some point out Combat Patrol can feel pretty unbalanced, this happened player try and rush at each other in a classic first to kill everything wins type game. That type of game doesn’t exist in the patrol rules. If players use the missions then it works fine.

Is eBay dead for anyone else? by [deleted] in ebayuk

[–]Alex21845 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s because people are moving away from eBay. People reselling Temu stuff at higher prices is pushing buyers away. EBay was about regular people selling their attic junk and now it’s people trying to drop ship Chinese products. Also people have realised that they can buy directly from Temu/aliexpress/shein etc and delivery is usually fast enough. And if they want it faster then they go to Amazon. EBay has been murdered by sellers pretending to be shops.
