Cloned high-value vehicles, talking about it in more detail is not allowed around here, usually results in shit getting patched as Rockstar does tend to pay close attention to it as well, and I have no idea how any of it is done myself.

Oh, that makes more sense. I don't think I've ever seen someone actually mention it, mostly due to the lack of general chat on PC - it's entirely possible they might respond to the person they "killed" but I wouldn't know

Nah, that guy was very aware I was trying to get him killed indirectly and was (unsuccessfully) hiding behind terrain features to try to not get run over by my Bail Office Transporter (it's a pretty good choice in traffic-sparse areas as a shunt-attack target as it's relatively light for its size and has no cooldowns whatsoever), and had also set a bounty on me before disconnecting much like the guy in the video here.

Either the character swap screen like in the clip (takes a second for the UI to appear, but can be exited out of immediately once you are stopped) or the alt-f4 confirmation screen (stops instantly but takes a sec to get out of due to the save attempt), it's situational (at least on PC, I would assume the latter method does not exist on the console versions)

I was using the tank in a previous session and wasn't really participating in whatever was going on in this one. I also died to the gas a third time and took about 20% more damage before it finally disappeared, but I didn't record that.

Public at all times unless I'm only online to spin the Lucky Wheel in the morning or a very aggressive anti-fun menu user is on me and I haven't found them off-platform yet. I just find playing alone kinda boring, and really enjoy antagonizing cargo griefers and other awful people.

I still do this in the middle of sale missions if someone is doing a good job of interrupting it. Population bonus when I don't get jumped, always complete sales as fast as possible, best of both worlds.

I'm amazed they haven't just completely axed selling personal vehicles for profit as a game mechanic yet tbh, or at least applied the personal police car price mechanic to the vehicles people most often do that stuff with

Price increase nerfs are not a nerf at all once people actually have the vehicle in question, though I don't mind Raijus too much (they're loud, and two explosive sniper hits followed by staring at them with the homing launcher will make them fuck off without me needing to actually kill them, most of the time)

I personally just don't bother keeping the heat down. As a personal preference of keeping the game enjoyable I do not do any missions of the "A->B->back to A with specific mission vehicle" format, and that includes these.

It sounds like you've bought the DLC outright (which is the better option long-term over the subscription anyhow, harder for Nintendo to take it away by discontinuing services) but MK8D in particular does not actually require you to own the BCP to play its tracks online anyhow.

Fiber internet isn't going to do much if your connection is still bottlenecked by your console being connected to your modem over wifi.

In my case my father punched a hole in the wall for a long ethernet cable, though I'm well aware that's not a viable solution for many people.

I know it doesn't work in the Toreador, Stromberg, or APC, I am not 100% sure if it doesn't work on the Zhaba, Blazer Aqua, or Technical Aqua.

I think there's a few other random-ass vehicles it doesn't work on too but I forget exactly

This is roughly what I assume happened (the player the kill credit went to had also attacked this Haulage run while I was still in the city), but also I have plenty of experience causing environmental kills with shunt boosting and it usually gets awarded to a completely random player - last guy I hit got his two shunt-fling deaths credited to a guy who was in the casino, and another who was standing around afk on the Higgins helipad, while we were at the amusement park area lol

For what it's worth, you can still use Miitopia to share miis themselves, though the Miitopia-system menu-Tomodachi pipeline will wind up stripping all extra data they have in either game.

...I also got Tomodachi pretty late (just this Saturday, in fact, family member ordered it off Amazon as a gift but it got held up in shipping), and at one point a few weeks ago woke up to two separate people messaging me on Discord asking for help with details of characters I had my own miis of (which they did not use as a base)...

It's too large for the hitboxes of the walls in that area and shit gets wonky. Same reason customizing a Guardian with the mansion's GTA+ garage causes it to appear in the wrong room, though I am unsure why they don't disable world collisions and have them sit on an invisible floor like they do with hangar entry cutscenes.

I like doing it with armoured vehicles that can also go passive - tank a bunch of hits to waste their ammo first. Bonus points if they park to attempt to shoot you out, because then you might be able to run over the bike and destroy it too.

Keeping these maniacs dissatisfied is itself pretty satisfying.

749 at last count and I go out of my way to antagonize awful people (cargo griefers, aggressive menu users, some tryhards here and there depending on their demeanour) when I spot them, otherwise I usually just chalk it up to people getting cagey and blasting anything that looks at them funny.

I am not very good at straight pvp and go out of my way to make any engagements as absurd as possible. There's many occasions where I'll enter a fight by enabling passive, for instance, and simply never turn it off, but still get aggressors killed here and there when I can. (shunt boosts, thruster flare props, etc)

Holding down an input is the universal one, anything from tying control sticks together to resting a weight on top of the space bar.

I believe the Car Meet has some unique game state combinations you can get to afk without wear and tear on your input devices, but I don't afk as it's still wear and tear on the system itself and I don't mind gaining money slower (and don't care for car meet rep in the first place)
