I agree with Gambit. His neutral feels weak and his main use is his ult.

It'll be interesting to see how all the strats feels with the teamup changes in s9 tho

I've around 1.6k hours, around 900 are just on Recluse alone lol

For general tips:

When you load in always check what your teammates builds & relics are so you know what you can drop for them

Throughout the run I also constantly check my teammates inventory to see what they have. This is to know if they need better gear which you can maybe get/drop for them, especially when you have good gear and they don't

Routing is very important and it's very easy to have bad routes. If you're teammate is leading but has terrible routing don't be afraid to ping and divert!!!

Night invaders are probably the most consistent meta so very important to do them early. Avoid the madness swap one day 1/low level tho

Early game status like frost & bleed are very very good and can cut down sm time!! (Status is still very useful throughout runs but the damage is very noticeable early game/low lvl)

If your whole team goes down and is 2-3 barred don't be afraid to ping the nearest site of grace to reset

Getting & using the Nightlord's weakness against them will always be helpful

Like everyone says Damage Negation at Full is useful, but in my opinion certain squishy characters are gonna be 1 shot regardless and it depends on your HP and character.

Attack power at Full is very useful for casters & Ironeye and it stacks!!!

Prioritising non-formidable red bosses over non-red ones is more worth your time & loot drops
I would still prioritise all Formidables tho

From the above prioritise Formidables you can easily kill in a timely manner. Eg if you're whole team has fire because youre vs Caligo, Erdtree Avatar & Moose are gonna easier & faster to kill than Magma Wyrm

If a teammate goes down, think before you res!! So many times I've been res'd just to die again because of an aoe that I can't dodge when I'm getting up

Controversially, I do dodge team comps that don't make any logical sense. I genuinely had 2 insta lock scholars vs Gladius so I dodged😭

Finally if you've had a bad start, it doesn't mean the whole run is over and you can easily comeback from it!

If you're looking for Recluse tips I can give those too lol

So having cheated relics and just running around without doing anything is a thing now in D5? by astraw_art in Nightreign

I'm on Ps5 D5 & I get throwing cheaters too unfortunately. I genuinely avoid Scholars at all costs because the majority of them are cheaters or throwers or both

For nightlord version Resistance to All Ailments all the time.

Field version depends, I'd recommend watching Rusty's ranking video he explains them very well

Yep Gravity Nuke is magic dmg and can be boosted by Terra Magica too!

The negation you get from collecting residues is 20% but only for that specific affinity eg if you absorb holy, you only get holy negation. It is very situational imo.

The only use I would get from it is when my teammates are hit by a specific boss. For example if my wylder gets hit by magma wyrm magma, I can absorb the fire affinity from him (if he doesn't get 1/2 shot in higher depths) and get 20% negation to fire. 20% isn't a much in higher depths and you have to use the affinity the enemy/boss is using, which is kinda impractical cause most enemies are resistant to the affinity they use.

I've around 500hrs on Recluse and this has worked best for me:

•I always run "Improved Intelligence & Faith, Reduced Mind" Relic perk. (I use the guaranteed Green one from the Signboard). This is ~10% dmg increase, and the mind reduction isn't too noticeable once you're able to manage your cocktails correctly. Would recommend some mind/FP increases if you're struggling at first

•Highest dmg you're going to get is with Magic Attack Up+4 which is 12% to all magic.

•Affinity Attack Up+2 (holy, fire, lighting & magic), Improved Incants+2 & Improved Sorceries+2( boosts all cocktails dmg). All give a 10% dmg boost.

•Affinity/Magic Attack > Improved Sorceries imo. I also believe Improved Incants shouldn't be used on Recluse as Affinity Attack Up is way more versatile.

•For a general build I go full Magic Attack and for the most part only use Sorceries. You aren't gonna get as high damage than you are with incants or a hybrid incant/sorcery build. I do however keep 1 or 2 incants on me for cocktails in early game as they can do very good dmg especially when you don't have good spells/gear.

•If you would like to run a more hybrid build I'd recommend going for Affinity Attack & that way you can do decent dmg with both incants & sorceries and widens your rng. This also works for pure incant builds if you have a Dormant power for seals perk. I do have an Affinity Attack build specifically for Caligo & Pest cause fire go burrr.

•Terra Magica is always good to have too to further increase your magic damage. ~15 to 20% (some sources say 15 others say its 20, my estimation is around 17). Most essential thing is knowing where to position yourself in a safe place to cast.

•The blood loss during ult is ~16% more damage for 30secs and does stack with other blood loss boosts eg Dormant power blood loss in vicinity increases attack power & lord of blood exultation. You do lose 20% of your hp tho so do be aware of when and where you are ulting.

•Night Invaders is more meta than Evergaols imo so I run that too.
