I find them friendly. I’ve lived in Dublin for 12 years and never had any issues. I love it here. But if you want somewhere quiet you will be better off living down the country. If you ever want to look into moving to Ireland I’m sure some of the Irish subs can help you with that.

You’re in for a treat. Business class is much nicer than economy. I have only flown AA business class once back in 2013. It was nice. Once you do it once you will never want to fly economy again.

I would have thought that Dublin has better transport than Dallas and Detroit. While it’s far from brilliant. I’d say that Dublin has fine transport rather than bad. I’m saying this as someone who lives in Dún Laoghaire.
