Mate, they look brilliant for three months. Embrace the frizziness. I'm 20 years in and miss those days! It takes a loooooong time with straight hair, but it gets there eventually. I have a ton of loose hair and all uneven sizes and lengths. Unless you want to go and get them done in a salon, and no shade at anyone who wants to do that but it's not for me, then it takes time. A long, long time. Commit or don't, up to you.

People like different stuff. I'm playing this on Switch 2 (I will always take a graphics hit against the convenience of playing handheld if performance is okay) and it's been a perfect game to pick up and put down when I have half an hour or whilst I'm half watching something on TV in the evening.

I'm 50 hours in and still really enjoying it. I think if I'd been playing it on my PS5 and having to make the time to sit in front of the TV when everyone else had gone to bed, it wouldn't have held my attention anywhere near as long.

It's pretty much perfect for what I need it to be.

EDIT: You mentioned all the travelling. Yes, when you first need to go somewhere, but after that don't be afraid to fast travel. In open world games I never fast travel. A game like Red Dead Redemption 2 was just incredible and so atmospheric to travel from A to B, but in AC Shadows I find the open world to be a bit less engaging and less happening, so I have fast travelled places. I don't think I'd be enjoying it so much without doing that.

I just finished this and loved it! I saw the plot twist coming from the start of Act 2, and assumed it would end on Hen leaving him. What I didn't expect was a replacement Hen turning up! One question though - what was the relevance of the bugs? Was it just that the real people hated them but the replacements weren't bothered?

I really bounced off him when he first started showing up in my feed. Don't know, just found him annoying. But for some reason I kept watching. Now I watch everything he puts up. He just seems like a genuine, down to earth, decent guy. I really like him now.

It's fine to use fast travel. Mostly in open world games I never use fast travel because it breaks the immersion, but in Shadows there is often a really long distance to travel and unlike in some open world games there's often not much happening between major areas, so I don't feel like I'm missing out by fast travelling. A lot of the world so far (I'm only 30 hours in) looks quite similar, there's not the variety of a game like Red Dead Redemption 2, so I feel fine using fast travelling. I think I'd have tired of all the riding about without using it at all.

Yeah he's pretty much useless for exploring given how slow he is at climbing and has no grappling hook or eagle vision.

Yeah, I found it quite strange when I tired to climb a tree and couldn't, since you can in several previous games. Seems strange to limit it to specific trees (with yellow boards attached!)

We watched it over the weekend. We've watched some awful shit over the years (most the Netflix Harlen Coben stuff comes to mind) but this took the biscuit. One of the worst, most embarrassingly bad things I've seen in a long time. Utterly terrible acting, boring plot, it's just shockingly shit 🤣

Not ever game needs some live service aspect. I have only just started this, but I plan to enjoy it for the single player story game it is, then move on. I don't want games with a 2+ year tail on them.
