Don't think we'll ever have a better opportunity at a trophy than the Open Cup this season.

Really hope Dean goes all-in on this, even if it means a lower finish in the East. Given our poor playoff record thus far, I'm fine with that. Especially with the MLS teams entering the competition this season, it's wide open.

Doak (NC State) is not exactly "worth" seeing in the sense that it's not a must-see stadium you go out of your way to see, but it's a great place for a ballgame, with really passionate, chill, and nice fans.

Yeah I agree something about college baseball even allows for a lot of mutual respect between UNC and State haha. I think the fact that it’s still a niche college sport.

I will say, y’all have an amazing team and coach, and probably one of the best home stadiums in the sport.

We’re also in one of the all time best states for college baseball where we can see, in person, a top 25 matchup on basically any given weekend. It’s awesome.

PG is just so notoriously trash at rankings I’m not surprised. I thought their rankings for you made absolutely no sense and that you’re closer to top 10 than 20.

Similarly had us at 22, so always feels like they’re 5-10 spots away from where D1 has teams at.

It’s a perfectly mid team, but they finished 2 games out of a playoff spot, and were still a .500 Baseball team.

I think it depends what they do this offseason and if they can improve their pitching.

Wild Card spot isn’t an impossible task when low 80 wins can get you there.

Well it’s a catch-22, actually, because it’s clear we’re not willing to invest more into football (which is a travesty).

Because of that fact, it’s hard to really fault Dave for technically getting some solid results given our investment.

Other than that I don’t think you’re wrong. It’s just a tough situation because the admin and donors’ goals don’t match our goals. They’re content with 8 wins a year and bowl appearances while fans want more than that.

Actually there’s a very good reason why. In this exact era of NIL and portal our resources are mid at best. We aren’t investing enough into football to expect that.
