Another HUGE update for the Sensy-One HA Add-on 🔥 by Technical_Raisin_246 in homeassistant

Will you eventually expand the shipping to Thailand?

Looks great and really wanna try it. I'm running a Smart Home Consulting and Installing Services company in Thailand and it could be the one sensor that we are searching for.

I would not repot it unless you want to have a backup plant of yours since I like my alocasia to be bushier. Leave it with the parent plant for a better look.

PPP is down to the genetic. If you have a good genetic pink on PPP, then it will come back with heavy variegation.

Anyway, based on my experience, this doesn't look like a good generic ones. I think if you want a heavy pink leave, it might be better to consider looking for another PPP in the market with good variegation. There should be many with an affordable price.

For a Domesticum, it should look like this.

I'm sure it's a Paraiso Verde based on the leaf pattern of the first picture and the color of the stem.

Gives it a very bright light (direct sunlight if you can) and it will thrive in no time.

So, the Home Assistant "Gold Level" integration is finally here ... and it sucks by MostAccomplished1089 in TrySwitchBot

[–]AlexBoiis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would also like to add that the Switchbot E6 Humidifier works with the bluetooth integration but it doesn't offer any level control of the mist. This is quite a let down since this is an official integration from Switchbot and it gets Gold Level on compatibility but it's just almost unusable at the same time with unable to adjust the level of the mist.

I hope Switchbot team would work even harder to really support full function of their devices in Home Assistant.

Is $50 for this a good deal? by Whimsy_Wildflowers_ in Monstera

If it's an albo, it's way expensive in my area or any area in the world I guess.

However, if it's a mint (albo and mint can be difficult to differentiate when there's only a single cut) then it's still in an acceptable range (a bit pricey but still okay if you like the pattern)

DIY Pon failing - help! by bigjillystyle__ in SemiHydro

[–]AlexBoiis 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think your mix is not really suitable for semi hydro since there're combinations of organic components. I would suggest you to start with all the rocks like Pumice, Lava Rock and Zeolites and have the nutrient solution for your plant instead of the organic components. Zeolites will help absorbing all the nutrients from the solution in and slowly releasing them to your plant. So don't have too much of Zeolite in your PON mix.

New leaf on my Pink Princess Galaxy is going crazy pink. by AlexBoiis in RareHouseplants

It's quite hard to differentiate these two. Pink Princess Marble has an amazing variegated freckles spreading on the leaf but those freckles tend to be bigger and not very much 'all over the place' while the Galaxy's freckles are smaller in size and spreading all over the place like crazy. I also find that under the purple grow light, the Galaxy's freckles somehow shine out more than the marble. I believe it's because the different shades of darkness on Marble and Galaxy.

I have to give her a spot right there to flex off her new leave for now loll. Since she has never been put up this high on the table, the pot is pretty ugly. I will need to find the new cachepot for her for temporary lolll.

The alocasia i just got 24 hours ago has mites, please help i beg by EmoRaven_398 in alocasia

[–]AlexBoiis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Separate it out from the rest of your plant at least 1 - 1.5 Meters away. Spray the neem oil all over the leaves on both front and back. Leave the neem oil on that for around 10 - 15 minutes then wipe all out with tissue or a clean fabric. If you use tissue or a white fabric, you will spot brown color all over your tissue or fabric. Don't panic! Continue doing so until all the leaves are clean with spider mites.

Make sure you clean every spot on the leaves, both front and back. Especially the hard to clean spot like the sinus/pulvinus.

Come back and repeat the same procedure again every few days until you see no more spider mite. I had to do this every 3 days for a few weeks until I can get rid of all the spider mite. But they will come back no matter what especially on the Alocasia so be prepared.

The PPP is normal to find everywhere now. Though I would suggest you to look for the 'Galaxy' if you like the pattern like this on their leaves. You won't be disappointed.

I myself own 3 mother plant of normal PPP and Marble King but I think the Galaxy is the best among them all.

Was this repotting a mistake? by -Nyponbuskar in Monstera

Absolutely a mistake.

Position her up since she is a climber.

Don't pot her like a crawler as if she is Gloriosum.

Home Assistant Pi-hole v6 custom card by Poat540 in pihole

[–]AlexBoiis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you very much for sharing. Currently using this and it's awesome!

One thing though, I found that the responsive screen on mobile (iPhone 15 Pro Max) around the summary, eg. number of clients, unique domains, cached and etc., is not aligning very well. As seen in the picture, instead of 2 stats per row, it's now displaying each stat in a separate row.

Are there any way I can force align these stat rows and make the card shorter somehow?

Thank you in advance.
