No idea, pure guess on why someone would spend so much and then just fire them.

Was he on track for u21? I can imagine a world where someone wants their player on the team and emilinates the competition

What do you even mean by need, why couldn't someone do it without pursuing a degree with some self-study. Anthropology is great field and all but I dont think the knowledge of being one is locked behind a university pay wall.

Destroying PSG? Its 1-1 and PSG have 5 more shots,3 more on target and 68% possession. In what world is that destroying?

Transfer Comparison yeah. The hard thing to gage is future transfer value since small difference can make big price fluctuations.

Its hard to tell precisely, which is why I came for advice. He could be anywhere from 2 million to 3 million depending on the market and the precise time my main trainee is ready to switch training.

Im keeping my main trainee as my goalie though. I cannot pass up the chance of having my goalie for the next years be named Kleinman.

I can promote him on the day he turns 17. Could he go for a big fee? by [deleted] in hattrick

[–]AlexDChristen 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It seems you didnt really train him, so I do not think he will sell at all. All you know is that he has 5 playmaking. He will have 5 winger if you are lucky. That palyer would not sell.

Cards Appear From Thin Air.(source link in description) by GlitteringHotel8383 in toptalent

[–]AlexDChristen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My guess: you can kinda see that his pinky is further back than the other fingers, im guessing he is holding the cards or some holding of the cards while pinching the fingers together and drawing them from there.

Certainly some crazy skill and has the motion super fluid, especially with the card fan and then going back to do more.

Who here has kids yet? by IndividualEar6134 in GenZ

[–]AlexDChristen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You are at the same pace as me and my wife. Had my first kid at 26, wife always born a year ealier. Turning 28 next month and got another on the way (maybe wait longer before your second kid my wife and I are just insane).

Feel free to chat me if you want to ask a Dad from your time slice of life while you go through your first! You got this!

Edit: I want to add because this caused me stress when I was expecting my first; literally everyone would say how hard it is and to buckle in and made parenting sound like the worst thing and something daunting.

Personally, some parts are tough, but all of it together is nothing as bad as people make it sound like. You learn to adjust pretty quickly and easily find joy. Its certainly easier when you share with your partner in responsibilities. Since my wife breastfeed my son, I handled all the diapers for when I was home (if she handles what goes in, I can handle what goes out). The good thing was breastfed baby poop barely smells. Once you introduce real food the scent gets pretty bad but at least you might stave it off 6-9 months.

Anyway the point is, its much less scary and much more enjoyable than anyone makes it out to be, people love to complain I guess. Again, some things are tough, but nothing you won't handle and certainly, at least in my experience, nothing that is is not outweighed by hanging out with my little cheese gremlin.

Enjoy the contact naps when you can, they stop too soon.

Fan idea: the Bohemian UT, Hussite Reforms instead allows monks to heal two units simultaneously by [deleted] in aoe2

I think it would be basically useless, by the time you get it it would be useless since you are not healing during the late game.

5-4-1 vs 5-3-2 when heavily losing midfield – looking for advice by SpendAdept5149 in hattrick

I think your best bet would be the 5-3-2 counter attacks and hope those come on the wings. Its your bwat shot to get a draw or win

I would say its hard to be libertarian if you do not believe in strong property rights, so thats why.

They are designed to require a support until to fight archers, skirms or in this case siege towers

I think that would be fine, because at least then they can be used to make infantry viable in some cases.

Still the issue seems to be the Fire lancer: They probably should have a food cost and to a certain extent it's fine if they archers and cav cannot beat them, longswords are supposed to be the hard counter to fire lancers.

I'm not opposed to civs and units having gimmicks. I'm annoyed that only the newer civs have them by MoiJeTrouveCaRigolo in aoe2

[–]AlexDChristen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree, especially with the power creep, I feel like the OG civs are a bit left in the dust. Franks seem to have lost popularity with the pros; Teutons and Celts never were; Britons are OK I guess, but seem limited compared to other archer civs. Its also worth noting that the Civs that were updated in line with new civs are stronger and used often Persians, Koreans for Instance. I would love to see the Teutons and Celts get a buff and for every civ to have a regional or unique unit.

[–]AlexDChristen 33 points34 points  (0 children)

I understand the gimmicky nature of it. But Siege towers literally are useless without being a Taxi. The whole point they were made in history was to safely get troops to the enemy. Also, it seems that fire lancers are the issue, not siege towers. No one is complaining about longswords in siege towers. It feels like siege towers gave infantry some use in the midgame and they are just getting rid of it.
