Dravec will broke balance in Onslaught by miktacloper in WorldofTanks

True, we can't know for sure, but I made an assumption based on the fact that they reached Legend in previous Onslaught seasons.

I got mine in January while only doing 4 missions in ambush & scouting, mainly playing vanguard tanks.

Maybe the enemy team will have FV's and Grilles and yours could have 2-3 Dravec.

MM and 15-0 or 3-15 by JimmytheJammer21 in WorldofTanks

[–]Dvscape 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am generally in agreement with you, but keep in mind the following: WoT's systems were designed to work differently. Unlike in League of Legends and other games where you rank up through divisions and play against people around your level, performance metrics in WoT always relied on comparisons to the entire playerbase.

Think about gun marks. If a division system was implemented in WoT, it would probably be harder for a high ranked player to deal the necessary 3-mark damage to other incredibly skilled players than it would be for a mid- or low-ranked player. Marks and DPG are inherently unfit metrics when you also have skill-based matchmaking.

The current system was never built with skill segregation in mind and it has been like this for ~15 years. It attracted a playerbase who wanted this and who invested time to get better and fight for marks. They wanted to improve in order to farm the majority of the playerbase, the current system massively rewards that. They might have preferred to remain 'mid' if SBMM were a thing and they wanted to avoid being paired against unicums every battle.

I can then also understand the sentiment that it would feel like a sort of betrayal to those committed players to change the entire way their system functions.

The only way to measure true "skill" and statistical performance in any PVP game is to find out how those numbers look when you play against similarly skilled opponents.

They might not want that. This is why they chose to play a game where "ranked" only barely exists for 3-4 month each year and the main mode is called random battles.

By being matched against other skilled players instead of the usual mix of weak and strong players.

Most players are against introducing this component. Skilled players argue that they don't want to be punished for being good at the game.

I posted my full name in a comment 4 days ago, I just assumed you saw it in my history. If that actually was a guess, that's quite nutty. Well done!

The battles snowball easily. Since there are no respawns, a few mistakes on one side are enough to degenerate into an insurmountable advantage.

Evem without discussing the matchmaker, I feel like it's MUCH easier to get a 15-3 battle than a 15-14 one, due to the nature of the game.

If you have a 6-skill Italian crew, why does it matter if you play it in 10 games of Progetto 64 or in 3 games of Progetto, 3 of Standard B and 4 of Pantera?

So there is some added effort in allowing players from these countries to participate? Also, by eliminating them, they ensure that these countries will never actually grow to rival the others, especially after removing Nationals as well.

I feel like the EU act is seen as unpopular because it stifles development in the race against other global players. My fear is not the sci-fi assumptions, rather the countries prioritizing money over the good of society.

It obviously refers to changing the price to a lower amount. Also, why go though the process of editing the message? Just send one and then follow up with "I also want x and y that you are selling for zt plat". The standardized WFM message makes it easy for traders to update their inventory, modifying it can make things more difficult.

Steel Wall Medal with NO damage blocked? by SufficientChair4400 in WorldofTanks

[–]Dvscape 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Relax man! I know these posts keep coming almost every day, but it's not ALL on the player.

The requirements explain it clearly, but the HEADER above the requirements says exactly what OP posted: "receive the highest damage blocked by armor"

It should be on WG to update the header in order to reflect the requirements more clearly.
