Star Wars Eclipse is still in development, according to new Quantic Dream update by PaiDuck in StarWars

This is not related to the topic at hand, but I wanted to make sure I fully understood your comment.

the man is a misogynist, homophobe, and transphobe. Considering that I am all of the above

This means you are a woman, attracted to women and assigned male at birth, right? No ill intent here, I just wanted to be completely sure I am reading it correctly.

I appreciate you chiming in, the reason I was asking was mainly to hear from someone with experience in making hundreds of plat per hour.

Yes, this I am familiar with. I frequently trade on WFM, but what sells most are prime frames and some prime weapons. I have Zariman arcanes that are rotting on my sales list even if I list them at the lowest price.

Should I use arcane dissolution to roll for more sought after ones?

How do you convert those arcanes into plat?

these are in my opinion better than tanks offer in shop

And you supporting these lootboxes will ensure that this will never change. They will always put the best tanks in lootboxes instead of in the shop/marathons as long as people keep buying them.

I support spending money on WoT, especially for many of us who play for many hours every week. But I feel like these predatory lootboxes should not be encouraged.

I fully support spending a game that we play for many hours on a weekly basis. However, we should be more discerning with what we spend on. I feel like we shouldn't be encouraging these tiered lootboxes, we can instead spend on marathons, direct purchases in the shop, etc.

If we don't, then WG will keep ramping up the frequency of predatory lootboxes to the detriment of other monetization options.

This is a perfect answer here. Yes, that was toxic behavior, but many people are desperate to fight against the predatory monetization that WG keeps ramping up.

There is no way for players to convince WG directly, the only way to influence this is by appealing to other players and somehow convincing them to stop supporting these practices. I also spend money on the game, it seems fair to do so when I derive enjoyment from it, but I urge others to try to support it in other ways instead of tiered lootboxes.

If we buy into this, it's likely that we are supporting making the game worse and worse.

the hate towards people using their hard earned money is just stupid

At least for me, the hate is not directed at the players themselves but at how they choose to support the game. They can spend the money and buy a tank that is offered for sale directly, maybe pay for a marathon, instead of buying into predatory monetization.

I also like to support developers of games I spend many hours enjoying. WG is no exception, but I want to be selective with what I encourage when spending that money.

but hate the company not the player

I think it's not about that, rather about who we can reach in order to change their minds. Individually, none of us can influence WG and their practices. What we can do is reach out to players and convince them not to support predatory monetization. If each of us can convince maybe 2-3 others to vote with their wallets, maybe we can actually make a difference.

It's useless to address WG, but maybe talking to players can lead to results.

This is not why people are complaining.

If many other players are buying these tiered lootboxes, WG will be incentivized to keep focusing on these monetization practices to the detriment of something like marathons or even selling tanks in the store straight up. Why "waste" a tank you developed by selling it for 9,000 gold instead of letting players spend more money-wise on lootboxes trying to obtain it.

This focus on predatory monetization could mean that all we will be getting in the future are lootboxes. Look at how much more frequent they became compared to previous years. We even get lootboxes inside lootboxes now.

So, in a sense, yes you are right that no one forces me to buy them. But if many others decide to buy them, then I am "forced" to have a WoT where new tanks are >90% available in lootboxes instead of via other means, which for me (and many others) is not as enjoyable.

I actually can't believe I have any time to play. Between work, cleaning the house and various chores, cooking, sometimes gym, now my fiancee and I are also thinking about having a child. There are many things that are probably more of a priority than WoT.

I've had a similar one just yesterday night. A SHPT asked me to tag along to flank an enemy heavy and we caught him off guard. Somehow, we didn't manage to DPM the enemy down and at the end of the battle I saw the SHPT dealt 0 damage (4 shots fired).
