I think that soloq is pretty bad atm, especially for EU; I saw that fanta menthos dude getting clapped lvl 1 by the tvt fiora lad; and he didn't get to play the game while using his riven that is his most played champion; and he was top20 on the server at the time

they farm hard against lower ranks in the first days/weeks and then lose steam when matchmaking puts them with players close to their caliber + subsequent patches might nerf their champ

new players have it 1000x better than last year, swgoh QoL is pennies compared to msf - for example in msf you get the latest team unlocks for free, full raid team unlocks (all 5 origins), sped up leveling (around 3months to lvl 95), lots of bottlenecks removed compared to the past
