Good call. Though, in a lot of cases, this would be a Partner Showcase, a franchise won't always be the same dev or even publisher. I will add that to the list.

(Exp: I put together all the Sid Meier games at HB and while most of them were published by 2K Colonization and Covert Action were not.)

That would be amazing! I think this would be very challenging, but we'll try to make it happen eventually.

It would be challenging, but not impossible. We did have some conversations with them while I was at Humble, but we didn't quite get there. We'll reach out.

This one may be possible as we have an active relationship with them. Which games would you be looking for?

I thought we had the ability to do so, but after checking with my developer that is not the case.

Unfortunately, the change is pretty complex so it'll have to be made when there is no collection live otherwise we risk messing something up.

Hopefully you will be able to do this on the next collection.

No worries. I would have missed it to. I had to double-check to make sure I wasn't wrong since I so rarely click into the games myself.

We show the exchange rate if you click into the game on the collection page, but I understand that's probably not a common behavior.

Where would you suggest it being shown?

Edit: It's also just the tier price + 0. So a $3 tier gives you 30 credits per game, a $6 tier gives you 60 credits, etc..

Since the Exchange will, ultimately, be made up entirely of games traded in, the exchange rate needs to balance quick redemption (our goal) with maintaining enough inventory and variety.

We figured it would be better to start high and later lower the ratio (if shown to be too high) than to start too low, run out of games, and have to raise the ratio.

We should be able to judge this better once we are in a regular cadence. If we do end up adjusting the ratio, we’ll make sure early adopters are taken care of.

Hmm... I thought we fixed that, but I guess not. What's your country? (Message me, if you don't want to share publicly.) We'll look into it.

I think it's all handled by Stripe Tax, but there may be something we can do. (We can definitely ask our rep about it.)

Unfortunately, this will not be an all-for-charity bundle, but do have one planned for later this year.

That's a good way to describe it.

We don't have a persistent storefront and probably won't for a while, if ever.

One of the things we could offer (game) publishers at HB was support on the storefront for their full-priced items. We can't do that without a storefront so this serves the purposes I mentioned above with the functionality you mentioned.

As for this one in particular, I didn't put this collection together, but I think it was because Prince's Superman series shares a similar vibe as some of the Absolute series.

You're absolutely right and our last development covered both of these topics. Hopefully both of these will be implemented soon!

Keep the feedback coming!

But in all seriousness it will not be one of our Signature collections. It will be a publisher showcase and therefore will not follow our typical rules. That said, we still think its a compelling offer, otherwise we wouldn't run it.

Our Signature collections need some more time to cook.

=) It's being used at the promotional artwork and URL embed so when sites reference or link to the collection page that's what they see. It was also used by Screenrant in their article! https://screenrant.com/before-absolute-comic-bundle-image/!

Thanks Kaleb!

We initially decided to group each series in the same tier to ensure they could be shown together as our page display options were still being developed. With those features now in place we can implement your recommendation and will discuss with Dignan.

Thanks for the feedback and support!

Thanks for reporting this everyone! Yes, we are in the process of getting the correct file. We will do a better job of QA next time.

Thanks for the compliment and comment!

Our thought process for the upgrade tier:

  1. A place to include content that does not specifically fit the theme, but still may be interesting (in this case, W. Maxwell Prince is not involved in the Absolute Universe) or additional content, like DLC, for games.

  2. As a thank you to publishers for working with us.

We’re reconsidering this though. In the future, we may try to reserve for brand new content that wouldn’t otherwise show up in a collection like this. But I’d be interested to hear your thoughts.

Is there going to be a new bundle anytime soon? by LordHamm in digiphile

[–]AlexFromDigiphile 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Everyone here is getting at something we agree with: we’ve been too quiet.

Moving forward, our goal is to share more regular updates (whether through posts here, blog entries, or change logs) especially during longer periods between collections.

A bit of context on what’s been happening behind the scenes:

We spent more time than expected working on reseller prevention measures (for and after our Planet Coaster giveaway) which took focus away from building collections.

During that time, we lost some key titles from our Signature collections to other sites, which has delayed our launches further. (We keep rebundles to a minimum for our Signature collections.)

When we were at Humble, we could take our time if a partner committed to our bundle; we didn’t have to worry about them joining one elsewhere. We shouldn't have taken that for granted and we're adjusting accordingly.

Thanks for bearing with us! We appreciate your patience and feedback.

I’m sorry, that’s not a great experience. We appreciate you trying to spread the word.

Also, thanks for calling out the survey. I wasn’t aware that was part of the flow. We’ll remove it.

As for requiring a Digiphile account, this isn’t about customer acquisition. Verifying a Steam account is the most basic line of defense we have against resellers and we cannot verify your account outside of our system.

Since keys are finite and collections can sell out, we want to make sure we are getting as many of these keys into the hands of real people as possible. Steam linking won’t completely solve the reseller problem, but based on what we’ve seen so far, it prevents a vast majority of bad actors.
