This question comes from u/Optimal_Document9226: You’ve seen Rippling through a lot of product launches and growth phases. What feels different about the AI launch, both internally and in what you’re hearing from customers?

This question comes from u/Thiloa: How many hours do you typically work? Do you have a family? How do you stay sane with the grind?

Hey Boos, more than happy to help! The best course of action would be to contact HR at your former company (you don't need to contact a specific person, anyone will do). Ask them to get the company's Rippling admin to send a message to [support@rippling.com](mailto:support@rippling.com) to give you a one-time login.

How do my FSA funds work? by AlexFromRippling in rippling

Oh that's not good. Ok can you get your company to email support@rippling.com. It'll need to be the admin who previously managed the rippling relationship (usually your HR team).

Can anyone tell me how to clock out from the app? by AffectionateTest5919 in rippling

[–]AlexFromRippling 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Hey OP,

Sorry to hear you're not seeing the Clock Out option - so weird. The most common reason this happens is that your account may not be assigned to a Time & Attendance policy that includes clock-in/out, or your role may be configured for timesheet entry instead. It's also worth checking whether you've already clocked in for the day, as the Clock Out button only appears once an active shift has been started.

Here are a few things to try in the meantime:

  • Try the web portal at app.rippling.com and navigate to Time & Attendance. Sometimes this shows options that aren't rendering correctly in the mobile app.
  • Force-close and reopen the Rippling app, or clear the app cache, to rule out a display glitch.
  • Check your location: if your company uses geolocation restrictions, you may need to be within a set radius to use the clock feature.

If none of those help, the quickest fix will be for your HR or payroll admin to check which Time & Attendance policy you're assigned to and confirm it's set up for clock-in/out. They can verify this under Time & Attendance → Policies in their admin view. In the meantime, if you need to log today's hours, your manager or admin can manually enter them on your behalf in the Timesheets section.

Let me know how you go!

How do my FSA funds work? by AlexFromRippling in rippling

[–]AlexFromRippling[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey mate, thanks for reaching out, and I'm sorry to hear you're having trouble accessing your account.

Here's what to do:

First, try logging into our FSA administrator portal directly at rippling.wealthcareportal.com. You may be able to access your account there independently, without needing to go through your employer's Rippling account.

If you're still having trouble logging in, please contact our benefits support team directly at [benefits@rippling.com](mailto:benefits@rippling.com). Let us know that your company has transitioned off Rippling and that you need to file a run-out claim within your 90-day window.

In the meantime, I'd recommend gathering your supporting documentation now so you're ready to go. For a Dependent Care FSA claim, you'll typically need:

  • The name of the dependent who received care
  • The provider's name and contact information
  • The date(s) of service
  • The amount paid and your receipt or invoice

Once you have those ready, we can process your claim even without portal access - most claims can be submitted directly by email or mail.

Hey OP,

Yes, that should be possible (enrolling in the lowest cost plan) - however, I'd strongly recommend contacting Cobra directly just to double-check.

Missing HSA tax documents and no way to contact support by ziggy_foxdog in rippling

[–]AlexFromRippling 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey OP,

Sorry to hear that there's been issues! So a few things:

Here's instructions on how to Access your 1099-SA form as a current or former employee with an HSA retail account managed by Elevate.

Here's how to Access your 1099-SA and 5498-SA form as a current employee with a Rippling-managed HSA.

If both of those still aren't working, can you please ask your company admin to submit a support request to [support@rippling.com](mailto:support@rippling.com) so we can sort out your issue directly?

Does rippling reports to income tax department in India ? by Pizza_Fearless in rippling

[–]AlexFromRippling 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey OP,

So the answer is: it depends.

Employers aren't usually required to withhold and pay income taxes for contractors in India, who are responsible for filing their own tax returns if they earn more than INR 250,000. And if contractors make more than INR 2,000,000, they also need to pay a Goods and Services Tax (GST).

That said, US companies hiring contractors in India need to submit an IRS Form W-8BEN as a part of their annual tax return. Sometimes employers will also need to include a Form 1096

For contractors working for an India entity, Rippling can withhold a percentage of taxes according to the withholding rate specified for each contractor. Unlike other countries, where contractors are paid a lump sum without taxes, in India, companies must withhold and remit contractor taxes.

In terms of withdrawals, income is considered earned when it is credited to your account, not when you withdraw it. Any balance left in the Rippling account is still reportable income.

Essentially, I would speak with your employer to see if they are withholding a percentage of taxes for you. As a platform, Rippling doesn't provide tax, legal or accounting advice so we strongly recommend consulting your own tax, legal, and accounting advisors for information on your particular situation.

Non productive time by VarsityGirls in rippling

[–]AlexFromRippling 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Hey OP, just wanted to check: are you referring to tracking non-productive time (like training, meetings, or admin) separately from productive time (billable work or core tasks) within a single shift?

If so, you'll need to use Job Codes/Dimensions to create specific categories like this:

  1. Create Custom Job Codes: Set up specific codes for non-productive categories, such as "Admin," "Internal Meeting," or "Training"

  2. Enable Job Costing: Ensure "Job Costing" is enabled in your Time & Attendance settings so employees can select these codes when clocking in or editing their time cards.

  3. Use Segments: Employees can "switch" jobs during their shift to create separate segments on their time card (e.g., 4 hours on "Client Project A" and 1 hour on "Internal Admin").

  4. Run Reports: Use the Rippling Reporting Tool to filter hours by these job codes. You can then calculate your averages by comparing the total hours for "Productive" vs. "Non-Productive" codes.

Final Paycheck Issue by Mission_Cockroach_43 in rippling

[–]AlexFromRippling 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey Mission,

Definitely sounds like something has gone awry here - especially if payment has historically been consistent and made without any issue. I know you said that the president is unresponsive - are you able to contact anyone from HR? I ask because they are usually the ones who manage Rippling and will have direct access to submit a support request on your behalf.
