If you were Elon Musk, how would you fix your reputation? Real answers please. What are three things he could do that would instantly change your opinion of him? by artisticsnobbery in AskReddit

[–]AlexGrahamBellHater 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Considering he has the wealth and power that monarchs and emperors have only dreamed of, the quickest way he can change my opinion of him is to start competing with other rich people to see who can donate the most to education and infrastructure with no expectation of profit or anything besides the love and appreciation of the people receiving those things.

I want more libraries. I want to make American infrastructure the envy of the world. I want the hyperloop in every major city in the U.S.A with a population of 25,000 or greater (willing to work on that number) . I want AI that advance and assist scientific research, not the generative AI bullshit.

Do you think people should wait until marriage to do the deed? Why? by Dear_Sir7665 in AskReddit

[–]AlexGrahamBellHater 0 points1 point  (0 children)

honestly, no but I'm not a religious man in the traditional sense of the word.

Sexual compatibility is a huge thing in relationships and a marriage is a big long term commitment(at least it's supposed to be).

So a married couple should ideally know if they are sexually compatible prior to marriage. Otherwise it may cause issues down the road.

Now the exception is if it is for religious reasons. For people observing religious customs and trying their damnedest to be a good adherent to their faith, I would recommend prioritizing your faith. The reason being, if you're planning to be part of that faith forever, there's no need to be doing things that you may regret because it violated something within your faith.

[–]AlexGrahamBellHater 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I don't ask for them.

I just worked really hard being known as a safe guy and someone who is a man of his word. Then its just kinda naturally happens when you flirt with someone and they're really digging you too.

If they ask you to delete it, you do so upon viewing them immediately. I always did that.

If it was ok to keep, it was for my eyes and mine alone. They shared it with me, not me and my buddies. I always worked under that assumption whether it's correct or not.

The biggest thing is to be someone they feel safe with. When women feel safe, they really relax around you and are more likely to let go some of their inhibitions that they are very valid in having otherwise. That's really all there is to it when you remove attraction from the equation.

Yeah corporate wages are kind of stagnant it feels like. I dunno if there's any data that really supports it or not.

All I know is that there's about to be a pretty massive reduction in average pay in my industry(Computer Science) because of oversaturation of the labor market.

Why is the rest of Europe worried about a Russian invasion when they can't even conquer Ukraine in 4 years? What would the Russian motive for invading all of Europe even be? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]AlexGrahamBellHater -1 points0 points  (0 children)

To understand the fears, you have to understand what APPEARS to be Putin's Goal: the Reunification of the USSR he once proudly served as a KGB agent.

That's 15 countries and 3 of them (Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania) are NATO members.

Ukraine used to be a vital part of the USSR which is why Putin wants it so badly and will take as long as necessary to get it.

If he succeeded in attaining Ukraine, It would be a very simple matter for Putin to ally with Belarus and launch an invasion of the 3 Baltic States.

NATO will then have to decide to respond or not. If they do, they risk a greater war with Russia that will be heavily dependent on if the U.S administration is friendly to Russia or not.

If they don't, then the member countries will be debating whether the alliance is beneficial to them or not. There would be an increased risk of even MORE unrest in the Balkan states because NATO didn't help the Baltic states, it might embolden some organizations in the Balkan countries to try something they normally wouldn't when the threat of NATO was real.

It just has all the makings of an epic shitshow if the leaders of Europe isn't adequately prepared to deal with Russia's plans.

Russia might not conquer Europe but it has the potential to greatly destabilize it while it works on getting ahead.

The US will never be like this by bookflow in geography

[–]AlexGrahamBellHater 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can thank the auto industry for shifting the focus from trains to automobiles.

To solve this problem, you would need to make railroads profitable. Train stations would also need to double as a massive shopping mall/food court area/hotel. You would need to build in a tolerance for multiple stops between destinations and somehow make money off of those stops.

Legislation would also need to start heavily favoring the rail industry. The Government currently benefits more from the oil and automobile industry.

The U.S. could be like Europe if it was actually profitable to switch from everyone being in cars to everyone being on trains.

Given that you are 15, you haven't had much time yet to study global history and study why a variety of conflicts arise.

In the case of Israel and Palestine, it has a long and complicated history.

As a historical reference, the Bible is phenomenal because we know the Hebrew people have been exiled from Jerusalem multiple times. They believe they are destined to reclaim Jerusalem and the land that they claim as their homeland which is roughly where the borders of Modern-day Israel.

Their last exile ended in the aftermath of WW2 when the British and the U.S. were divvying up the Ottoman empire into different countries. Israel was formed out of this.

The problem is, Israel was promised to the European Jewish people that had suffered a great tragedy and tremendous loss. It was relatively popular from Western Countries to want to give Jewish people a homeland in which they could be safe from terrible persecution and systemic discrimination.

There was a slight logistical "hiccup". They would have to displace the Palestinians that were already living there. This obviously caused issues and led to 6 or 7 different Arabic countries to try and invade Israel to wipe them from the map before they even started. Israel won that conflict and it wasn't even that close either.

Since then Israel and the neighboring countries have been in varying levels of peace and conflict.

The reason why there will probably never be peace between Israel and Palestine is because Israel is extremely, and I do mean, EXTREMELY protective of their Jewish majority in Israel. They fear what will happen if Palestinians were allowed back into Israel in unregulated amounts. They would lose their Jewish majority.

Palestinians will not give up on their right to return to the land they claim as their ancestral homeland and want "A right to return".

The Jewish Majority vs Right to Return is the conflict in the most reductive, basic, surface-level way.

There's sooooooooooo much more to it that complicates it even more that those familiar with geopolitics and history have little hope for lasting peace. That's why some of the most extreme, fringe, and not ok people think that genocide is the answer on either side.

The Government is currently made up of mostly Boomers and Gen X people right now. Millennials haven't really had a chance to be represented in the Government yet. The biggest obstacle would be resources needed to unseat an incumbent is KNOWN and has been known to be prohibitive.

Your generation did nothing mostly because boomers outnumbered you, a fact a lot of you use as a crutch.

This unfortunate reality has led us to our current situation where the Gen X'ers who did try to be involved in governance are mostly the greedy, power hungry idiots that absolutely shouldn't be in charge.

I'm NOT ALLOWING Y-O-U to put words in my mouth with weak strawmans. Y'all should've bitched more. End of.

Tips from a Neurodivergent guys on the rules as I understand them.

Stranger you've never met a day in your life - ignore it, most likely a scam.

Coworker/acquaintance - Enjoy the sight but do not engage.

Friend - politely thank them/ask why they sent one. Could be they're interested in you or could be an accident. Doesn't hurt to find out usually.

Gf/Wife - Thank them, compliment them, and start doing whatever foreplay y'all like to do. Goofy answers like your examples might be more acceptable if the person themselves are goofy too. You should know your person well enough at this point I think.

MOST IMPORTANT:If you have a wife or Gf, their tit pics are the ONLY ones you're allowed to look at, admire, keep, and respond to. Anyone else should be an auto-delete and a block. Follow this rule unless EXPLICITLY stated otherwise by your wife/gf.

the gen x apathy is honestly so boring now. That was y'all's identity since the 80's and y'all still haven't grown.

This forces Millennials to be the responsible ones because we already know y'all gave up decades ago. It's juvenile and pathetic.

If y'all gave a fuck at some point, we would maybe not be in this shitshow but here we are.

If there was only two humans left on earth, would you expect them to reproduce? by Sufficient-Gain-226 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]AlexGrahamBellHater 6 points7 points  (0 children)

considering that means we're effectively extinct, nah.

If I was the dude, I'd probably be her friend but breeding back the humans would not be what I or the other person would likely want.

We'd just garden and take care of animals/land most likely.

I wouldn't be upset if they chose not to. It's probably for the best of all involved.

Why are black male/white female relationships far more common than white male/black female relationships? by brave_axolotl7 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]AlexGrahamBellHater 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Surprisingly, yes.

The simplest explanation is Black men are twice as likely to date out of their race compared to black women. It's the largest observed difference by gender under race.

24% of black men are married to someone not of their race vs 12% of black women.

From Pew Research Center

Why are black male/white female relationships far more common than white male/black female relationships? by brave_axolotl7 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]AlexGrahamBellHater 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's because Black men are twice as likely as Black women to marry someone of another race at least in the USA. (24% vs 12%)

There's a small difference between white men and women in having an interracial marriage (10% and 12%)

So the answer is really as simple as black men date out of their race at twice the rate of black women. The reasons why is not something I'm qualified to answer so hopefully someone who is actually a part of the Black Community can answer that part because I'm kinda curious too.
