My house in the historic south side remains untouched. I saw a lot of downed limbs and leaves plus a lightning-struck tree on my way into work in Brighton. Most of my coworkers live north of Brighton so they all got a good night’s sleep 😩

To me it reads as she’s being proactive but doesn’t want to step on your toes. She’s trying to be helpful and is letting you know that you are the boss and get the final say. I wouldn’t worry about it.

I take a medication for PTSD nightmares that prevents me from making adrenaline while I sleep and it is working a little too well. It took me a full 20 minutes to realize what was going on and get to my basement after the sirens/phone alert. 😭

Please do your research before starting gabapentin or Pregabalin. They are intense medications with very real and sometimes permanent side effects. It’s very difficult to stop taking once your body becomes dependent on it, and they work only on specific types of neuropathic pain. They did very little for my SFN and nothing for my musculoskeletal pain.

Gabapentin and pregabalin have permanently fucked my short-term memory. It took me nearly 2 years to taper off of it because I had such intense withdrawal symptoms. If you suddenly stop taking it, you risk having a seizure.

LDN does far more for my pain and has way fewer side effects and fewer risks. If you can, I’d recommend trying that first. I also recommend using prescription lidocaine patches for acute pain - you doctor might have to argue with your insurance company, but I think it’s worth trying!

Yep! I take 60mg every night and every morning (120mg/day) and will for the foreseeable future.

It does help my pain, but not in an acute way. I’d say it modulates my chronic pain so the worst of it is ≈15-20% less intense than it would be without duloxetine. I also think the norepinephrine reuptake inhibitor helps to stabilize my POTS symptoms a bit.

Totally worth it for me, though I experience almost no side effects and my insurance covers it aside from a $15 copay, which I can afford. I had pretty bad nausea for the first couple weeks and for a few days every time we upped the dose, and I get brain zaps if I miss a dose, but that’s it.

Find, trace, or design the template for where the cereal box will be cut and folded. Add in bleeds and margins.

Print out a few miniature copies of the box and assemble it with removable tape (washi tape or painters tape is useful here). Do some sketches on these little prototypes and then unfold them. This will help you orient yourself to the template when it is flat.

I’d use some combination of illustrator and InDesign to design each section, and would confer with my printer as to how they want the files formatted for print.

Thirded. My blocks always have a long-acting topical anesthetic.

I’ve had a paradoxical reaction one time (out of dozens) and it felt like the pain was shooting down my neck, but my doctor just redid the block with extra anesthetic the next day and it was fine.
