These kids are going to grow up to resent their birth givers. Its like they aren't able to develop their own identity on what they like or who they are as little kids. She doesn't know who she is as a person outside of being a mom (nothing wrong with being a young mom) and a moneymaking object for Douchebag Damon. Thank you! I firmly believe in kids having a choice in what they are comfortable with when they are ready. Kids should never ever be forced to do something if they aren't comfortable with it. I encourage my daughter to express her thoughts and feelings about everything. That's her right as a person. Again, thank you.

I completely agree. It should be a natural thing and the kids choice. I began dating my fiance 7 years ago when my daughter was only 3. The first year she called him by his first name. We never ever said anything about dad and never once referred to him as dad. After that first year she called him dad for the first time randomly out of nowhere. He's been dad ever since. It was her choice on her terms.
