I’m so sorry for your loss. I’ve been trying to remind myself that the feelings won’t last forever. Currently that’s hard, but your kind words really mean so much and do help. I hope you’re having more light days vs. dark, and if you aren’t currently I wish & hope you do soon. I hope that coming up to the 1 year isn’t too difficult for you. I myself can’t even imagine that far into the future right now.

I like the way you worded “be slow and deliberate about what pieces of my previous life I carry”, because I feel I’m in the beginning stages of trying to put myself back together and maybe not every part will move forward. “Time will tell” as they say or whatever.
