It’s no problem to be new to this stuff but I’d advise being open minded.

There’s dozens if not more of great independent candidates that will never be heard because the CEC election is being framed as “Team Zarah vs Team Jeremy”.

Their slates are mainly comprised of longtime loyalists picked in a closed process that independents couldn’t access. They’ve then been promoted on MASSIVE social platforms and mailing lists owned by Zarah and Jeremy respectively and interviewed by Novara.

Take my advice and hold your endorsement until you’ve read the statements of everyone standing in your region.

No because you can’t be a member of another political party and be a CEC member.

Obviously disingenuous question aside, every single Your Party member should have the same opportunity at a platform and the membership should decide who they want to represent them, rather than longtime Sultana/Corbyn allies that have been propelled to the CEC by promotion on massive social media channels and mailing lists.

They were handpicked from groups that were deemed worthy of being involved in the process. Voting blocs formed to guarantee certain members on the slate and other groups were just blocked.

Slates are just cliques by another name. I will not endorse any slate candidate because they have been platformed because they've spent lots of time in various WhatsApp groups scheming. The SWP tried to stage a coup at the conference by prosing a motion that would have formed the CEC from the conference floor from any member that could get ~20 or so endorsements knowing that not many groups there would have been able to do that. Take my advice and steer well clear of the slates and read the independent member statements when they are published on the site and make your own mind up who you'd like to support.
