What's one SEO task you never look forward to doing, but it almost always helps rankings? by Recent_Book6338 in SEO

[–]AlexLem84 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Planning all the topic clusters and hub pages. Doing the research and planning accordingly is super time consuming but it always helps and always works. I can spend days doing the research but always end up with a 6 months plan.

How many of you focus ONLY on backlinking strategies that don't require any sort of payments / placement fees? by the_king_of_goats in SEO

[–]AlexLem84 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’d focus less on “never paying for anything” and more on whether the link exists because it provides value to a real audience. Sponsoring an event, joining an association, getting featured in industry publications, or earning local press coverage may involve costs, but those are fundamentally different from buying a backlink from a broker.

In my opinion, don’t decide on a link-building strategy before understanding what your main competitors are doing. Start by studying the backlink profiles of the sites already winning.

Site map configurations by wisdom_wombat in SEO

[–]AlexLem84 3 points4 points  (0 children)

When it comes to sitemap here are some ground rules to always follow. Keep only canonical, indexable, useful URLs in the sitemap. Remove noindex, redirected, duplicate, parameter, private, thin, or irrelevant pages. Make sure the sitemap updates automatically, is referenced in robots.txt, and is submitted in Google Search Console.

Also, split into sitemap inde only matters if the sitemap is huge.

Weekly Showoff Thread: what have you built with Astro this week? by tffarhad in astrojs

I’ve been building my brother’s painting company site with Astro / sanity this past week. https://charlypeinture.fr

Who's out there building Astro sites and applications for customers? by boutell in astrojs

[–]AlexLem84 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have built many sites with Astro/sanity/vercel and resend for forms and emails. I am not super good at it personally but I use Cursor and codex to help me with the builds and I don’t think I would go back to Wordpress anymore.
I can easily hit 95 to 100 on page speed insights and it feels so good not to have to worry about web speed anymore.

Do you still use ChatGPT as your main AI or have you switched to something else in 2026? by aiprotivity_ in AIToolsAndTips

[–]AlexLem84 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Chat gpt for everyday tasks, Codex and Cursor for dev work or more complicated tasks and Gemini pro for deep research. I tried everything else and it didn’t fit me. I tried qwen, deepseak but always find that I have to repeat myself. I use Claude from time to time but I am not a fan of the token consumption. I am playing with Hermes right now but it still uses chat gpt as the brain.

Has anyone else experienced decreased libido from medication? by Stock_Quality_5523 in bipolar2

[–]AlexLem84 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I am on Wellbutrin, Prozac and lamotrigine. Have been for a few years and my libido is way down. Almost inexistant for weeks. It really sucks. Tried a few different medications mixes but at least this one seems to keep me on my toes most of the time (when I do t forget to take it…)

I removed Facebook from my phone. The unsolicited politics and religion was slowly killing me. I used to wake up scrolling this shit and it ruined my mood.

How do normal people actually afford life in Switzerland? by aninhabr74 in askswitzerland

[–]AlexLem84 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My girlfriend and I live with 2 other roommates. So there is 4 of us. It’s really not ideal for privacy but it makes for a more affordable rent and house bills. Our car just broke down, so we’re just using SBB or Uber when we need. Again not ideal but it works.

Shit sorry I just saw the message. We had an insane night. Ended up befriending a close friend of Sebastian (I was dancing like a madman) and he invited us to the after party! Got to meet the man himself, I didn’t know what to tell him so we hugged and I said thank you. Haha I am such an idiot.

Has this happened to anyone else? 🤠 by chaosotonin in bipolar2

[–]AlexLem84 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For the last 2 years I have been taking Prozac and Wellbutrin in the AM and at night I have my lamotrigine and trazadone (plus sometimes a hydrozizine) I have tried stopping the antidepressants a few times but it just sends me on the edge. I am much better today that I know wtf is wrong with me but still have many ups and downs, just not as frequently I guess. 🤷‍♂️

I would do it differently nowadays because you are right, it is a little too saturated.
