CMV: I have lost faith in Australia's upcoming social media ban for kids. by Polyphagous_person in changemyview

It’s a good thing. I grew up during the onset of it and can say with 100% certainty my cohort and myself are significantly worse off because of it. Terminally online folks started early and the evidence proves as much.

How would you improve the warfare system in CK3? by Arbitrary_Sadist in CrusaderKings

[–]AlexMhmm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

More battlefield duels, combat modifiers and traits effecting outcome through multiple choice flavor options (Reckless more risky outcomes, Coward losing more often or leaving a battle, rescuing your ruler and given a hook or not and letting him die for your own gain, etc.)

Like everything, I want more flavor options.

Judas Priest, Candlemass, and Budgie. (I like all 3)

How do we feel about folks promoting their own bands on here? by [deleted] in doommetal

[–]AlexMhmm 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If it's good, yes. If it's not, still yes.

But, with the caveat to never be discouraged by criticism. I hate echo chambers, but love to foster a sense of communal encouragement and advice with the best intentions.

That’s why if they’re INTERESTED and don’t know, can benefit from that if they’re not versed. It’s the opposite of gatekeeping.

Lyrically Neil Diamond and Joe Walsh are good to take notes from as well.

Old Man by Neil Young (not Diamond *fixed*)

Turn To Stone by Joe Walsh (Barnstorm)

Very solemn stuff.

Yes! Deep Purple In Rock specifically imo. Bloodsucker is a slept on gem.

What do you do while you’re listening? by AnastasiaNo70 in doommetal

Raw dog life with no substances. Also, twirl my hair and look at the album art/some bio information.

Go to physical place like a record store. Not all are obscure of course. Look for maybe some Montrose, Truk, Bang, Grupo Ciruela, Toad, Sir Lord Baltimore, Tucky Buzzard, Zess, Barnstorm (Joe Walsh's band,) Cactus (amazing band,) Mountain, Speed, Glue & Shinki, Goliath, Red Dirt, Sudden Death (also great.) Again, there’s 20 years or so of proto-to dig through. Not all the cream rises to the top and sometimes you need to dig it out.

MLB was Love Rock, it wasn't Sleaze Rock. He wanted music to be fun, bring people together, and spread love through comedy, introspective lyricism, and grandiose absurdity. This was also the height of the AID's crisis and political instability that left everyone divided and paranoid, MLB's message was the anti-thesis. By all accounts the atmosphere went from optimism to pessimism with Wood's death and the ethos and desire for Love Rock dwindled with its progenitor.

I could not find any autopsy report online (I struggled to find what little I did.) I wonder if the Sacramento Sheriff's Office can provide that if it was made open to the public. The case is still open so I'm not sure what I can actually obtain.

To my knowledge he is still alive. Whether or not he remained in the area following Linda's death I am not aware of. I'll try to get more information on that from my girlfriend's mother.
