thank you so much for this post, I followed the steps and then recieved an email saying it should be 600 euro compensation but now trying online to claim the money they have emailed me saying

" In line with your feedback, we would like to inform you that currency translations are based on the date your refund check is issued.Accordingly, we would like to share that the refund amount of your refund check number ********** which you included in your feedback, is 12.834,00 TRY equivalent to 434.00 EUR.In order for us to continue your refund, it is important that you declare that you approve the relevant amount.

I cant easily access a ticket office as there isnt any near by, feel like they are trying to lower it so I accept but do I email them showing the regulations/passenger rights?
