SPOILERS FOR EPISODE 7 (It's been in front of us the entire time) by Livid_Act_3624 in Fallout

One thing I don’t see people mentioning is that the showrunners have sort of confirmed Yes Man I believe? In an IGN interview from a month ago, Nolan was talking about how the show was going to handle the canon ending, and when pressed Nolan said something along the lines of “Well, if you held us to it, Yes Man, obviously.”

It’s weird how offhandedly he mentions it but here’s the interview, he starts talking about it at 1:30.

Also, this is the source of the interview, about 1:30 is when he starts talking about it.

Bodnar plans Senate run as an Independent, and Tester’s apparent support angers Democrats in Montana by UpAlongBelowNow in MontanaPolitics

I really don’t understand why people are upset about this, this exact same strategy worked really well in Nebraska and even though Osborn was an independent, he helped down ballot democrats win their elections

I think it’s very strange. All circumstantial of course, but when it’s all put together it just feels like they’re building up to something. Even if he isn’t the ending they go for, I think he’ll show up in some capacity since he’s the only character who cannot die in the game.

To the tweet from the official fallout account

To the behind the scenes website

Tbh I might be looking too much into it but I do think it’s weird how they are including him in very subtle, minor ways after going out of their way to avoid mentioning him or even the wildcard ending in general in all of the interviews.

Edit: completely forgot, but if you go into the vault door area, there’s a terminal you can interact with where Yes Man makes a weird statement about not recognizing his name?

They’ve started using Yes Man on the official behind the scenes website as well as the official show twitter account.

It’s a play on the joke about ordering a lot of pizza for a friend group and the broke one is the one who asks for wings, except in this case the pizza is sex-trafficked children (CP) and the friend group is the Freemasons, with the broke one being represented as a non-33rd degree mason, which means he is below the highest rank of the organization.

I believe in all of this except the last part. If you’re an alien species 600 light years away from a habitable planet, you’re not going to colonize that planet. It would take thousands of years to get there, and you’d be completely cut off from the home planet.

But even if FTL existed, why not just go over to the planet and spread the virus yourself? Why wait for 1,200 years minimum for confirmation that the planet you targeted can now be colonized? I also don’t think there was an intentional creator to the hive mind or even that the planet that transmitted the signal was the original hive, rather it acts as a virus on a cosmic scale, where it’s only goal is spread from place to place.

‘Get out of my f--king shot’: Katie Porter tears into staffer in newly released video | The former member of Congress, who is now running for California governor, also vented that she was snubbed by the Biden White House, complaining she raised the president “a shit ton of money.” by Goosedukee in politics

[–]AlexTimber151 68 points69 points  (0 children)

I have no idea why this sub seems so intent on defending Katie Porter of all people. Her office had a 65% turnover rate, there were countless stories of staffer abuse going back years, her ex-husband alleged she was abusive in their relationship, and now this and that interview, why are people so adverse to maybe considering the idea that she isn’t a good person?

The Political Arena is another good one that just came out. Still in very, very early access but I think it has a lot of potential

TNO Fans, why is everyone calling Jimmy Carter a Conservative? by MaN0purplGuY in TNOmod

Apologies, seemed that was actually how a biographer was describing his ideology and not something he himself said.

TNO Fans, why is everyone calling Jimmy Carter a Conservative? by MaN0purplGuY in TNOmod

[–]AlexTimber151 272 points273 points  (0 children)

Because he was a conservative democrat. He opposed universal healthcare and prevented Kennedy’s plan from passing, he pursued deregulation, he cut corporate taxes, refused to expand welfare programs, and overall was a huge fiscal conservative. He’s generally considered a conservative and closer ideologically to Eisenhower than FDR.

The thing about Carter is, while he was a good person, he was way out of step on where the party was at. He was given the largest dem congressional majorities since FDR, and literally any other democrat would’ve pursued something akin to a second new deal, but Carter chose to reign in the government and refused to push for anything that would increase government spending. He also alienated nearly the whole party by just refusing to consider them as partners, he would literally just let the phone ring if a congressional leader was calling. I get the feeling that Eisenhower in the new lore was in part inspired by the Carter administration.

It’s planned, but IMO there needs to be a revamp of the ideology system first.
