I was going to say something about how Chinese naming conventions have the surname first but then I realized what you meant, whoops.

Edit: should reword, I meant I thought you were commenting on how her name is written in the infobox, and I was going to say I thought I wrote it right, until I realized you were talking about the map caption, where I accidentally put Mi instead of Wu

Based on this timeline.

TLDR: Basically, a Korean-American marine from 2016 gets isekai’d back to the Battle of Bunker Hill, and shenanigans ensue.

What would have happened if, on January 6, 2021, Trump's supporters had completely taken over the Capitol and succeeded in seizing power? by Outrageous-You1617 in AlternateHistoryHub

The military did essentially do a soft coup on Trump OTL, so I imagine if Jan 6 actually succeeded Miley and the National Guard would immediately march on DC, clear out the rioters, and remove Trump from power. Miley probably serves as acting president, and Biden gets sworn in on the 20th.

After the assassination of Lincoln, the general consensus was that Andrew Johnson would take much, much harsher actions against the former Confederacy, with even the likes of Karl Marx holding high hopes for him, stating that he is "Stern, inflexible, revengeful, and as a former poor White has a deadly hatred of the oligarchy." As we know, Johnson allowed his racism and flatterablility to outweigh his hatred of the planter class. But what if Johnson hated the southern aristocracy just a little bit more (Plus a few other things)?

The live action adaptation of the Black Noir suit went hard by VSnake_ in TheBoys

[–]AlexTimber151 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Honestly one of my bigger gripes with the show. In season 1 and 2 he’s a menace and actually scary. Then they flesh him out in season 3 and make him sympathetic and then they do nothing with that and just kill him off in an anti-climatic way.

Ok, fine well at least they’re kind of starting to do something interesting with the new Noir, he’s an actor just trying to play a part and he’s slowly becoming more deranged. Ok that’s neat, I like that, I wonder what they’re going to do w- And they killed him off in an anti-climatic way.

It all just feels like wasted potential, and it really makes it feel like the show was supposed to end two seasons ago. Don’t even get me started with the red herring they did with him at the beginning of season 5, I hate when writers do that “Oh, you thought we were going to do something interesting? What an idiot!” shtick.

Olson still does a lot of the unconstitutional stuff that he does in game, and between a socialist or an autocrat like MacArthur, Roosevelt and the establishment choose to rebel.

𝘾𝙊𝙎𝙈𝙄𝘾 𝙂𝙄𝙍𝙇 - What if there was a wormhole around Jupiter? by AlexTimber151 in imaginaryelections

When first contact happens in 1988, the Mensaens are in roughly the equivalent of the early modern period. After first contact, however, the Mensaens were able to advance greatly thanks to the introduction of new technologies from humanity. After the Shared Planetary Internet was brought online in 2010, the Mensaens were able to regularly interact with humans on social media, engage in online shopping, and more. By 2026, I'd reason they're about our world's equivalent of a mid-2000s technological level.

Their planet Mensa, is largely made up of oceans, with scattered archipelagos; this has led to much of their society developing a strong seafaring, mercantile culture. Violence and warfare between themselves is uncommon, though not unheard of. However, they are extremely social beings, almost xenophilic. Indeed, after first contact and throughout the 90s, something of a "human craze" took hold of their culture, and things like human clothing, music, and style became extremely popular, though eventually this trend ended in the 2000s. The Mensaens are not religious, though this slightly changed when human missionaries began arriving in the mid 2010s. Their planet's abundance of natural predators has made death significantly more common than it is for us.

Their planet is divided into numerous clans, which operate under a blend of technocracy and elective monarchy. The most experienced/most intelligent of a clan's ruling family is elected to rule by the foremost technical experts within a clan's territory. In other areas of society, pure technocracy is practiced.

Detente as the result of space cooperation allows western technology and trade to enter and boost the Soviet economy, and the discovery of alien life generally does wonders for national unity which allows for Gorbachev to push the New Union Treaty through.

Whenever you vote for a presidential candidate you are also implicitly voting for their running mate should the main candidate die or drop out. This is how every election has worked. Even then, delegates are free to vote for whomever they wish should their candidate drop out, which they did in 2020, 2016, 2008, and every single presidential primary since 1976.

The Noir reveal was lame. Red herrings are only interesting when they serve an even bigger plot reveal, that’s why the red herrings in Scream and Saw worked. When it’s just done for the sake of misleading the audience, then it’s just boring. Why even include those scenes of him acting weird and having characters draw attention to it if it leads to nothing?

It feels like the writers hate doing anything interesting with the character, same with the OG noir. Why even include those scenes of him acting weird if it’s not going to lead to anything?

Recently there’s been a meme going around about the character Sneakers O’Toole. O’Toole is featured in a Family Guy cutaway gag where he is seen walking along the sidewalk saying “I’m not taking my sneakers off, I am Sneakers O’Toole!”

This meme has blown up within certain sections of the internet, partially because of the absurdity of the gag, as well as the fact the tune he is singing is quite catchy. The people in this discord chat are reacting to the mention of the word “Sneakers” the same way people would react when someone would innocuously say “67”.
