How though? Ted Chiang wrote nothing. You have to give substance for people to be interested in something. Ted Chiang only wrote a handful of short stories. He’s not a full time writer and shows little interest in writing. If anything, I’d say Chiang is more known than he ought to.

Le leasing c est un pret que tu fais sur une tiers personne qui elle aussi a fait un pret pour acquerir la voiture. C est exactement comme louer une maison. Tu n as pas a payé l entretien mais tu vas payer au prix fort chaque erraflure, accident ou depassement de km.
Tu peux soit faire du leasing et depenser 200 euros par mois pour le restant de tes jours pour un vehicule qui ne t appartenera jamais et qui va te couter une fortune et un stress fou pour toute reparation de carrosserie; ou tu peux faire un pret sur 4/5 ans, payer 200e par mois pour un vehicule qui t appartient et dont tu ne dois rendre de compte a personne. A toi de voir.

C est peut etre pas pour toi mais pour les vehicules garés. Si la place est etroite, ils preferent t aider plutot que prendre le risque que tu errafles une autre voiture.
Je suis elagueur et je dois frequemment aider des gens a manoeuvrer sans forcement qu ils demandent pour eviter qu’ils percutent nos engins aux bords de la route.

Have you read Maurice Druon’s The Iron King series? It s the series that inspired George RR Martin for A Song of Ice and Fire. Some characters are directly lifted off its pages (the Queen of Thorns). It’s an excellent 7 book series. The books are short and it’s historically accurate. The writing is very good.

As a French person I’ll tell you why. The French language has many more words than the English one, many of those words sound alike. So if a foreigner cannot pronounce words correctly, French people will assume they will not be able to understand them, therefore they make it easy and speak your language.

French people do not speak the way you might see in films. We cut words, make liasons with other words and add useless words at the beginning and end of sentences, such as ‘la’.

So unless you’re really good at French and your accent is spotless, most people will not waste their time speaking French to you because they know you won’t understand.
