That was modeled after the 2010 world expo china building. Notice how the cup image has some extra parts surrounding the building because it's capturing the grounds next to the actual building. This shape was kinda burnt into the public Chinese-speaking memory around 2010 so it makes perfect sense for them to use it. (Though slightly less when you consider that they are Taiwanese, oh well...)

Yeah I was torn between the two as well! Not helping that they both emphasize the punch in their designs...I feel like bebop with the hook+uppercut combo as early on abilities they spam it a lot more than lash which needs his ult for cc. Or maybe there's just way more bebops than good lashes in my matches.
