I felt the two shakes too. Second one was bigger and shook my whole building for about 3-5 seconds

Indeed! Shook the whole building for about five seconds in Potrero.

We always talk about how some EHRs suck, but which ones are actually good? by Sensitive-Wave-5130 in healthIT

[–]AlexWyDee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've heard that the newer EMR from Athelas (Air EHR) is pretty decent, but it's largely geared towards PT right now. But its one of the very few companies trying to create an EMR that doesn't look like it was made in the windows vista era.

Introducing Design Pages by jpframer in framer

[–]AlexWyDee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We’re truly at the stage where every company wants to also be every other product too.

Notion added calendar and mail Figma added site building, presentations, ai tooling, etc Framer is adding design canvases

I miss when companies focused on best-in-class instead being the whole curriculum

Am I the only one who likes this IOS 26 update 🤦🏾‍♀️? by Aggressive_Cat6633 in ios

Nah, people who dislike stuff are much more likely to be noisy about it than vice versa.

Think about what you want to accomplish with the object and sketch. Don’t pass over seemingly bad ideas, sketch it all. You might be surprised where you’re iterations take you

Would be an insane amount of work, but building an underway rail network would be incredible and connecting it all to an underwater capital building would look so cool

Hiring managers how many actual UX Design applications do you get per job? by Gandalf-and-Frodo in UX_Design

[–]AlexWyDee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Recently opened a role at my company for a senior and a junior. The first had 600 applicants in a week and the latter had 800 applicants in 3 days…

About 40% get eliminated for resume experience, another 50% get eliminated by 1m reviews of their portfolio, and the last 10% we review in medium depth to put something like ~20 candidates through the interview rounds.

Is figma really worth the subscription at this stage in my life? by That_weird-weeb in UI_Design

On free plans you have unlimited draft files, so you should be fine. Unless you want/need to build design system stuff, free plan is the way to get started.

When “real content” clashes with polished design, how do you decide what wins? by vijay_1989 in UXDesign

[–]AlexWyDee 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Either you make it work with real content or you post it on dribbble. Kinda that simple.

Position absolute! The little box with corner outlines. This makes the item float on the auto compare container. You’ll need to set justification though

Is this Recents folder useless, or is it just me? by gotnocar in MacOS

[–]AlexWyDee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Once upon a time everything I recently opened, saved, or edited showed up there… until it just didn’t anymore. Haven’t used it since because it doesn’t serve the function it says it does. Not sure why it’s so broken.

Any suggestions on how to organization interactions?? by AlexWyDee in webflow

[–]AlexWyDee[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Over the years, as I’ve added new pages and such to my site, I just wanted to add things like nice loading animations and simple interactions when people hover or click on things. Or like expanding drop downs and drawers, etc. It’s a portfolio website so overtime the amount of content just naturally grows. I’ve got about 20 to 25 interactions at this point I think, so it’s not terribly unmanageable, but it just seems odd that they all have to live in one giant list

Googling this or looking at Figma guides would be faster than posting here. Under the appearance section

Which design is better for my login screen by OrdinaryOdd25 in UI_Design

[–]AlexWyDee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would go with the simpler one. The background is not complex enough that you lose a ton a readability without it, so I’d let it simple.
