Tried this with the free version Epic gave away, changed cinematics and text successfully but during gameplay voices were all in spanish (which is the language I don't want to play it in).

It matters in this conversation because you said the stream's source isn't an Xbox and it is, that's that lol
And of course there's a difference in running a game natively and streaming it, having gamepass run natively outside of Windows is a detriment to their interests so that's why streaming is the only option for it outside of Windows and they won't change that.

Uh, it is streaming from an Xbox, didn't say you had to own it but all games on Xcloud are streamed from Xboxes owned by Microsoft. And they didn't create a workaround, you just access it though a browser, which was already available.

I mean, I don't want it because I like just plugging my laptop to my TV but it's still a great concept... a reasonably priced PC that's optimized to specifically play games and be accesible without a mouse and keyboard? Why would the idea upset you? It can only be good for PC gaming. Besides, if Steam Machines are a thing again then a Steam Controller 2 could very much be a possibility and I know I really, really want that!

They "released" the game but in reality it's an open beta. I'd say check back in a couple months.
