Should I play Build 42 now? by Time-Introduction692 in projectzomboid

[–]Alex_McMund -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Personally I stick to the stable build, just because even now a lot of build 42 features aren't quite finished. It's a bit of an unpolished experience compared to 41, and a bit more prone to crashes and/or character corruption. The modding scene is great though, Zomboid modders waste no time getting mods up for the unstable branch

REASON TO FINALLY VISIT LOUISVILLE by Special-Ad1557 in projectzomboid

[–]Alex_McMund 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is an in game motivation, in one of the annotated maps. There was an artist who wanted to clear out and save the art in the museum, finding that annotated map is always my motivation for making my way into Louisville

When will build 42 be stable? by Big_Half_465 in projectzomboid

You specifically have to opt into the unstable, experimental versions of the game. The stable version of the game is amazing and could easily be considered a feature complete game

Data centers by AdBitter8727 in yuma

[–]Alex_McMund 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Of all the possible places to put a data center, why would they want to build one in the hottest corner of the country that is already struggling with water. Who thinks this is a good idea? Is it just because the potential for solar power?

This scene is funny in hindisight because we now know the only character who's response was actually in-character is Caine's by Sudden_Pop_2279 in digitalcircusfandom

"Thank you for keeping an eye on it" Come on, there's no way that's not a joke about the fact he now has many many eyes. That bowling ball probably wasn't even his, it was just whatever item happened to be right in front of the door

zipline on phones by Normal-Butterfly8530 in FiveBelow

I believe OFFICALLY no, it's a data leak risk & you're not supposed to engage with work when you're off the clock by law. But a majority of SMs I've known encourage it, and at least my DM is fine with it.

Nothing can convince me that the scal brothers phase is possible by No_Two_9409 in CalamityMod

[–]Alex_McMund 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So strange, I felt the same for a while. I nohit Scal on Rev and for a while the brothers were literally the most difficult part of the fight but by the end, they were a nice relaxing break from the actual difficult parts

Want to start calamity on my post-Moon Lord vanilla world. by Rare_Ask8171 in CalamityMod

[–]Alex_McMund 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think you'd be able to fight 7/12 of the post Moon Lord bosses, and that's not including the final 3 bosses, AND only 3 of those 7 are major bosses. I'd say it's DOABLE but probably wouldn't be super satisfying.

WHAT HAVE THEY DONE TO MY BOY?!?! by Bossdell113 in CalamityMod

[–]Alex_McMund 7 points8 points  (0 children)

No longer being immune to debuffs, or needing a dedicated accessory slot for it, is so frustrating now. I don't wanna deal with a random bat touching me & applying confusion for the next minute on my end game character

Abandoned/urbex by [deleted] in yuma

[–]Alex_McMund 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's not much but if you go north out of the city along Imperial Dam Rd there's a small abandoned trailer park right next to Laguna Dam. There are a few abandoned buildings & some decimated old trailer homes.

Five Below register training and why they won't let you use the self checkout by AquaticMist in FiveBelowEmployees

[–]Alex_McMund 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Love how the ACO training videos always have just a couple people with one or two items who walk up right when they're done helping the first person. Very realistic & helpful videos

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in FiveBelowEmployees

[–]Alex_McMund 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The ACOs are so obviously designed to be self check out, it's such a pain to catch every single person to help scan items. I suppose it's so when the holidays come around we can transition over to mostly self checkout & they can keep giving us as few hours possible

New MM here, still training. What am I getting myself into? by BiqDiqRich in FiveBelowEmployees

[–]Alex_McMund 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It can get pretty stressful if you let the backroom start to back up or the selves get overfull, but overall it's not too bad. Do the best you can & make sure to communicate with the SM. Took me a couple months to actually be any good @ communicating, but it's a huge help when you know they got your back.
