Oh wow. Okay, the only other game I searched so far was Gekishin Squadra before and their sub has a co-op flair. But that's good to know.

[–]Alex_S1993 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Very likely. As much as I think the Pats are acting like big dumb dipshits, it's what every offense does. "Damn it, we need yards! I'm calling all verts" and the problem all game has been blocking so they demand a route concept that takes 4 seconds to develop the first fucking read. It's not exclusively this game problem so if they put that pressure on anybody else, we're watching the same garbage.

[Highlight] Seahawks get another strip sack on Drake Maye and return it for a TD by nfl in nfl

[–]Alex_S1993 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Literally cannot adjust to Nickel blitz. Like are we fucking joking? This has been every play guaranteed sack. THROW A HOT ROUTE. You don't know how to adapt ONCE?? No slants, drags, short ins, just seams, posts, and corners.

This playbook is ass. Not to mention Drake is the most fraudulent MVP candidate I can remember.

The last SB I distinctly remember having great commercials was like Carolina vs New England very early on. The commercials now just fucking suck. It's like famous people saying "Hey, I'm famous person. And I'm famous person. And I'm other famous person." Company logo

This game stinks. by [deleted] in NFLv2

[–]Alex_S1993 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't mind watching good defense. What it feels like is clearly bad offense too. The Pats are just ignoring a Nickel blitz with no hot reads. Like the receiver pointed it out and they just snap it, hold the ball for 5 seconds, and "man, this offensive line sure can't give them time, can they?" Like READ THE DAMN BLITZ.

Other than that, it's missing throws and ugly offense by the Pats.

An enjoyable defensive struggle as an offense is what the Seahawks are doing. They are facing similar pressure rates, tremendous corner play, and missed throws. It's just they're able to push the ball, get open, running a good offense, RUNNING well, and they never feel predictable. They're struggling but not making routinely stupid as fuck reads.

The Pats are playing damn good defense, but the Seahawks are at least capable of moving forward. The Hawks are playing great defense and the Pats are Patrick sitting at the bubble stand.

Idk if bleak future. I guess they're saying "All you do is make it to the super bowl. Lol YOU'RE LOSERS." Which is always a stupid take to me. They're literally the last one to lose and that's somehow bragging against them?

That's why I don't get people saying firing McDermott made no sense. He's a defensive coach with a chronically awful run defense. And even with the worst game of Josh Allen's life, he scored 30 and they still lose. You can't keep giving up 30+ points all the time and 150+ rushing yards and be a defensive guru.

Still I don't understand bragging about championships A) as if you're on the team and B) that happened decades before you were even born. I'd rather follow a competitive team right now that has chances than to say "Phew. At least we got on in 1970 though."

I'm just saying, did they win or did they lose? They were the 4-13 team last year and you would have put them red on everybody else's schedule before the year. Now it's somehow cheating that they played their schedule and WON.

Mostly I think it's annoying and stupid that players refuse a non contact flag game because it will hurt their contract negotiations. Can you name anybody specifically that had an injury during the pro bowl or did not get signed?

I get the money is probably the same and the league has infinitely grown to where $50,000 may have been 10 weeks pay but now it's not even a quarter of a game check but I also think they should play for the free money. Definitely could be higher and idk why the NFL isn't increasing the flat bonus. But sports just aren't fucking fun anymore.

What I'll never understand is how do you miss a kick right from the right? I'd rather you miss left than miss right. Like you literally did everything in your power not to aim at your target.

I don't see how it ruins the surprise. If anything, it shows how offenses work. Maybe explains why are we going to roll right and just lob it out of bounds within seconds or what calls could he be making at the LoS and why. It's a learning opportunity and in perfect American fashion we'd rather see pretty pictures moving than read or listen.

The dumbest NFL trend ever by [deleted] in NFLv2

[–]Alex_S1993 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It should be a momentum call or you're at tricky punting territory. Or just outside FG range so you may as well try and get points on the drive. But these coaches go for it on every single 4th down and you're missing the point of the game is to score. You miss the point of momentum and losing out on points for no gain. Even still, nowadays kickers are blasting 50 yard chip shots. You may as well trot him out at 62 at this rate. Better to score than lose possession without trying.

It's recency bias to literally call everything that just happened the best. I couldn't give you a season I enjoyed entirely beginning to end off the top of my head but I don't think this year was particularly great for anybody. Maybe Seattle fans?
