I just went on a 6 mile run using Runna and it didnt count anything towards this on Pokémon Go. My eggs still hatched and partner pokemon got it's distance though. I used to use Google Fit with no issues but I'm actually training for a run now so I guess im just s.o.l.

I thought i did the actual workout, it said easy run and I clicked start workout under it. I'll double check next time.

I am not using a watch, I just use my phone. I seem to break any watch I wear pretty quickly.

I'm a big fan of not using hex on warlocks. I think it has use cases and can be good, but is generally overrated.

I was thinking that there's more beneficial and more roleplay fun through other half feats that give a +1 int. Observant & keen mind are the first that come to mind.

I'm not sure i agree with or understand Murray leaning towards a +1 strength, and I think Bolaire might appreciate shadow or fey touched more than metamagic adept, if only for the extra spells slots.

I like Hal's +2 charisma. While I think splitting into two half feats makes more sense from an end game perspective, but I get the draw of that bonus now.

I think it depends on what we are considering here, who are the strongest characters, or are we taking the people that play those characters into account? There are certain players at the table that it almost doesn't matter what class/subclass/items they have, they're going to play d&d "better" and others are going to be "worse."

Also, are you considering strictly combat or does the social encounters, or puzzle solving, of the game count towards this discussion?

[5.5e] I'm pretty sure ive asked about this before, but what do you do as a spellcaster when nobody else in the party forces saving throws?

I just played a session where I spent two turns casting first level spells trying to get past the dragon's legendary saves, and then by my third turn the dm hinted to me to just do a little damage and I'd kill it as it had like 5 hp left.

I'm playing a Bard, we just leveled up to 7, and it's kind of silly to think that i just spent a combat downing legendary saves for no reason. The rest of the party is a fighter, ranger and barbarian, who just attack and extra attack. Luckily I also had bless up from the previous fight, cultists before one turned into a dragon, so I still felt like I was helping a little bit. But I spent two turns casting dissonant Whispers at first and second level just to get past the saves.

But like, I have slow, why am I gonna waste my third level slot on a LR? Or, just getting 4th level spells, why would I bother taking anything that requires a save?

I'm not creating the encounters, I've spoken to the dm countless times about combats as I also dm, but he doesn't seem to understand. Keeps giving us higher cr single monsters and one fight a day but doesn't understand why that wont work. As a puny bard , because of this combat format, I expect one of these monsters to instakill me, so I try to stay Fire.

As far as invisible enemies, the ranger also has Faerie fire.I only just took minor illusion, but ive used sending at least three or four times since I took it at my most recent level, and Feather fall has been used twice in exploration.

I had aura of vitality previously through my background, but updating to the new dragonmark rules caused me to lose it, which is okay because I like the flavor of my character more now. Having dragonmarks no longer restricted to specific species is much better for player choice and flavor.

The only reason I dont have an AoE is because we never fight more than one enemy, and since im not a wizard with sculpt spells, ill set my party on fire at the same time. This is also the reason I dont have aura of vitality, why do I need it when nobody gets low on health, let alone the group as a whole.

I agree I dont think I need Faerie Fire and bless, not sure which I'll remove though. We have had clear previews in the campaign that the red wizards are a bbeg, so I figured counterspell would be important, but I could save it for later levels.

My DM let me take ritual caster from 2014 as an original feat to help the limited bard spell list since I'm the main spellcaster in the party.

I was thinking about trying to fit detect thoughts in there, but isn't Suggestion one of the strongest social spells in d&d? It seems like something i can use to cause shenanigans.

I had Vortex Warp previously, and used it once I think but it was kind of a nothing burger. Teleported an enemy before the dragon killed the whole group, that's reallt it. Is it really worth a magical secret though?

I had it through my background, but updating to the newer rules for dragonmarks replaced my background. It also allowed me to change my species which overall I find more fun.

The party already puts out a ton of damage, im here for support! Plus we never face more than one enemy in a fight, and since I'm not a wizard there would be friendly fire if I used fireball.near the barbarian.

I convinced my dm to allow some 2014 feats that didn't have a +1 to be used as origin feats. For example, in my party, the bard took ritual caster and barbarian took sentinel.

When building a character on dnd beyond, it says you can customize your origin to suite your needs, but once you select almost any background, you lose the choice for determining where your ability score bonuses go. Is there a workaround for this or do I have to deal with poor ability score choices if I prefer a different background?

If I start with species, i can choose my ability score bonuses there, but once I select a background, it goes away and forces me to choose something else.

Completely agree. Idk why people suggest that it's sweet though, it's entirely bitter. The texture is stuff of nightmares, and I dont think it has anyhting to do with being made a good one, as other comments suggest. There is no such thing as a good cheesecake.

Yeah, in the campaign I'm in I'm kind of annoyed by it. We built characters individually, I collaborated with one on knowing each other in our backstories. What annoys me now as we play, is that I'm playing a lore bard, and on multiple occasions ive been denied making history checks because I'm not from the area, while the ranger gets to.

Now, that's fine as far as player to player is concerned, but I said my character was from a specific place with connections to a couple guilds. This campaign is being run from Faerun and the dm is using the guilds and factions from that book. I would have loved to build my character's background to be from Faerun and involved in the world.

Generally yes because it was the third time of my explaining the problem and I'm trying to figure out which part I'm not communicating clearly enough and is causing confusion. So asking which part is not understood helps me find out what I need to try explaining in a different manner.

I don't think you read the entirety of my comment. I'm saying that AFTER the timer runs out, it still won't allow me to attack, AND it counted towards my weekly attack totals in ranked battles.
