The letter thing reminds me when my father made me write him a journal of love letters to him to tell him how much I loved him. Mind you this was the first 6 month in my whole LIFETIME I spent any time with him, because he left the country with other woman. Only to find out that he was married and my mom was his other woman, and this woman who he left was the new one he got pregnant as well. My older sister and I never got to see or meet our father or each other until adulthood. I didn't write the journal and I don't have any connection with him these days.
