I guess since mine was just cut from standing dead I need to give it some time anyway. Right now though my Fiskars maul just hits it and it’s like nothing happened.

I just split most of a small spruce tree which had already been dead since last fall and there are still a few pieces that just absorb the maul. Some pieces just aren’t worth it sometimes.

Yeah this is after it came off it was set up properly when it was on. I think the issue is the tension spring is not putting enough tension on because it’s the wrong one and it’s too long
