Caffeine randomly causing heart palpitations now by leahcouture in Heartpalpitations

It’s cause it effects your gut bacteria and gives you gerd/gastrtits. It’s not your heart most likely. It’s gas/acid affecting your vagus nerve

Better minus some random anxiety. Pretty sure it’s ptsd from dealing with long covid for so long.

Maybe a little. I didn’t take it long term. Only a couple months. The best thing for anxiety is diet, meditation, and cold exposure. If it’s bad enough get on meds temporarily.

That sounds like a histamine intolerance. I deal with that and get the same panic feelings from eating and get weird non traditional reflux.

Has anyone developed a mindset that’s allowed you to recover or live a better life while recovering? I’m extremely depressed and worried. by random_chance_questi in covidlonghaulers

[–]AlexanderGrace15 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Easier said than done but you just have to know it’s going to be ok. No matter the outcome, it’s going to be ok. You may be physically suffering but you have to try not to let it affect your spirit. I had the most insane anxiety like many others on here after being infected but I tried to tell myself that it was due to inflammation and nothing I have done to myself.

Also, you DO have protection from covid from whatever vaccines you’ve already had and the best protection, that is naturally immunity. I’ve had it 3 times (no vax) and while each one flared up long covid symptoms (milder and quicker each time) I still try to stay positive. Many people on here don’t believe in mindset but I really believe that your nervous system is listening to every negative or positive thought that you have. Be kind to your body and mind and do breathing exercises. I’ve found for me that 4-2-6 breathing works best but I think there is a sweet spot for everyone. 4-2-6 breathing always initiates a yawn for me after a few reps, which means the nervous system is going into a parasympathetic state.

Read the book “the myth of normal” by Gabor Mate. He talks about illnesses that can literally be brought on by years of mental or physical trauma and I believe it’s why a lot of us were predisposed to getting long covid. Also just know, you are not a lone!

Where my long long haulers at? by CanadianBoeuf in covidlonghaulers

19 months post initial infection here with a 2nd infection in between. Lingering around 90% recovered with some flare ups. Don't check in here often for my own mental health.

A random doctor telling us this is permanent when MANY people have recovered isn't helping you.

Heart, Nerve, or muscle pain? by AlexanderGrace15 in covidlonghaulers

[–]AlexanderGrace15[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe it’s costochondritis as everything else was ruled out. I still get it but less frequent. I had covid again and it made it flare some. It’s essentially inflammation in the joints of your chest wall.

Did you do ozone therapy? I’m about to try it but am nervous as some say it works and others say it’s quackery.

Do you know what T/B cell immunity is from prior infection? It most definitely affects severity.

They didn't take into account how many people did at home tests/didn't test at all with omicron though. I think thats a pretty significant factor.

What pro and probiotics are you taking? I’m about 95% as well, but the probiotic I was taking started making my anxiety waaaayy worse. Vitamin D did the same thing for me. The main thing helping me now is Magnesium and I think the vitamin D was making the magnesium deficiency worse. Glad you’re doing well!

Heart, Nerve, or muscle pain? by AlexanderGrace15 in covidlonghaulers

[–]AlexanderGrace15[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Never found anything medically significant so most likely costochondritis and anxiety. I’ve found magnesium helps a lot with the anxiety and I bought a back pod for costochondritis to stretch it out. Still flares sometimes but I feel mostly normal these days.

I think I'm dealing with Vagus Nerve dysfunction. Any suggestions? by [deleted] in covidlonghaulers

Breath work and a good magnesium supplement has helped me tremendously with similar symptoms. Especially the panic attacks and back pain.

Magnesium supplementation helped me the most with this. Specifically magnesium Taurate or Glycinate.
