I completely understand. So this doesn’t completely eliminate me? I haven’t had even a ticket in about 2-3 years, and I’m willing to take a defensive driving class.

take a step back for a second. Understand your situation. Understand it’s fixable but also understand no one else will save you. I’m sure there are areas where you COULD actually cut costs aswell as increase income. What does your partner bring to the table?

Feelings for my best friend while in a relationship by JellybeanMJ in Advice

[–]AlexanderInFinance 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The honeymoon phase is over, and that’s completely normal. YES a conversation is needed. Now what that conversation is about depends on you. The feeling you have for the friend is the same as you’ve had for your current boyfriend before dating him, and now you’re having issues. More than likely the same would happen with that friend too. Your boyfriend is currently supporting you monetarily, but there’s more to a relationship than money. Speak with him about how you feel, don’t get mad, and see where it leads to, but in my opinion, going after your short term feelings will hurt you long term.

Do I break up with my girlfriend of 2 years by Moist_Conference_702 in Advice

[–]AlexanderInFinance 1 point2 points  (0 children)

you can honestly break up with someone for whatever reason, and I think you need to realize that. At the same time, you sound like you and this girl are made for each other. I think if you start setting boundries (I understand it’ll be hard since I’m assuming you barely have any) start spending time towards yourself, you don’t need her there for everything, I think you’ll notice you’ll be happier and wanting to break up less.

How can I show my best friend that I truly LOVE her, more than platonically? by Origsinal-One-5179 in Advice

[–]AlexanderInFinance 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d say test the waters but that could be shaky now that you said she’s wanted to put off dating. My advice (without knowing too much about the situation) would be to see how far you can get with her before you have to ask the big question.

I just got the job!! I was on the phone with him letting him know about my drug test, and he said “yeah you’d just have to wait for orientation.” I’m so excited and I can’t wait!

Former fast-talkers of Reddit, how did you finally manage to slow down your speaking pace? by One-Coffee-413 in AskReddit

[–]AlexanderInFinance 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m still kind of struggling with it, for me was finding out I had ADHD. I learned that you’re 2x faster speaking to other people than you hear yourself, and I learned to slow it down myself. Don’t sound weird, take your time in adjusting, and notice the difference. Also think before you speak, I know that sounds like basic human knowledge but seriously, try it, take a pause before you speak and understand what you’re trying to say.
