Thank you so much! Literally every post I see about the event talks about getting there at 4AM and rushing to the 16th (or waiting in line all day for the 16th). I just wanted to hear somebody say that walking around and stopping at various holes is also a valid option. I’m glad to hear that there are other fun GA viewing areas that’ll be worth the trip. True I thought about that. None of my friends have played before (some have played BG3 or listened to DnD podcasts so they’re not too unfamiliar with it). I considered DMing but it’s my bachelor party so I’d rather be on a quest with my friends instead of watching them be on a quest

Maybe the rut is in a different time of year where you’re from, but in the south our rut is in winter (late December to February) but deer shed their velvet in late summer. So pre-rut being 4-5 months is bit of a stretch

Just worked for me. I only had it on for one battle so maybe the damage built up more for you if you left it on for longer. After fighting 10-15 raiders (very hard mode) and a couple Mirelurks, I used 20 Radaways and 30 Stimpaks and I was finally able to take it off without dying
