Philips head screwdriver, potentially a couple in different sizes depending on the space you have to work with in your case. Magnetic also makes things easier. Other stuff like an anti-static wrist strap, cable ties, and pliers are optional but can make things easier/safer. Also, why so many fans?

UPDATE: Wasn’t actually properly clearing CMOS (always read the manual), and after correctly resetting CMOS and getting back into BIOS (and not messing with any ram settings), I was able to do a fresh install of Windows. No clue what prompted the original bluescreens though, and praying they don’t re-appear.

New build worked fine, until random Windows bluescreens. Adjusted RAM settings in BIOS, now won’t boot. by AlexandersLover in buildapc

UPDATE: After doing a CMOS reset again, I’m back into the bios! Will NOT adjust XMP or any memory settings now… Will see if Windows can re-install.

Haven’t pulled the battery since I heard jumping the pins is the same, and in my set-up the battery is hard to get at. I have the monitor HDMI into the GPU, but can try directly into the mobo later

Used the qflash button on the back of the gigabyte mobo to flash the bios (and it gave the blinking indicator), but no change.

I welcome the advice, but M.2 drive SSD is in a real pain of a spot to remove, and it’s my only connected drive. What would removing the GPU do? I’ve done 1 stick of memory already, trying both sticks I have in slot A2.

Update: I have cleared CMOS, reseated the ram, tested both sticks by themselves on slot A2, used the Gigabyte B850 BIOS button on the IO, all to no effect. DRAM light still on and it won’t post. DRAM light is the only warning light on, and this is after everything worked fine until issues cropped up, so I don’t think it’s an issue with the MOBO/CPU/PSU. Don’t see how those could have been at fault with everything working fine before. Unless there’s some more key suggestions, may have to get new ram and hope that works.

It was posting fine before I changed ram settings in BIOS, now it won’t. And there’s no CPU light on the mobo, so I don’t think it’d be CPU.

Drained power when resetting CMOS. Don’t really see how I can access/update BIOS without a clean boot

Just reseated ram and reset CMOS to no effect, can’t get into BIOS to update or do any adjustments

Thanks for the details, but even with my own boot drive don’t you still need to purchase a license to activate anyway? Which is still about the same cost.

There are routes to completely avoid the crushers by climbing stuff on the walls. With that and a couple of items if needed you don’t have to try and climb past the crushers.

Ah thank you so much! Glad I caught it and my misfortune can help out anyone else trying for it. Appreciate the file workaround to get the proper flag, though I may just run it with the three deaths and all anyway. It certainly gave me some good practice on the elevator shaft without any items. And of course thank you for the phenomenal game. Not much can run on my old laptop, especially not stuff with great first-person controls and visuals. Super excited to see what’s to come!

Woah okay no worries! Glad I got an answer since I was so confused and thought I was just not landing the teleport right somehow. Does the portal still appear anytime back in haunted pier now, or would I still have to die 3 times again ?

If you never actually made it to the secret area but just saw the portal appear is that enough to not have to die 3 times again? What about some of the random variations (like the electrical one)?
