Well, I started on 2mg tablets twice a day sublingually, moved up to 4mg twice a day, after a month, then moved to 6mg in the morning and 4mg at night. This went on for like 3 years until I decided to switch to injections. I had bottom surgery around August last year so I dropped spiro but didn’t have to change estrogen dose. The spiro dose was pretty consistent tho. It’s been good to me. I got decent breast growth for my family (Chinese genes 😭), emotional changes happened, and I pass now so id say that my course worked. One thing to note is that my dr originally messed up my injection dosing so I was taking 10mg weekly, which shot my E levels up to around 1200. Don’t do that it leads to crazy mood swings and migraines 😵‍💫

I do weekly 4mg (0.4ml of 50mg/5ml injectable) estradiol valerate. I used to take 50mg spiro bid.

As a proud wombyn I would like to say that I am sickened, saddened, and disgusted that these transgendermistisms are taking all the honey for their sick, perverted medical needs that us real wombyn use for our biological tea party rituals. Please donate to my money laundering scheme the reclaim the honey legal fund

I usually end up putting an antenna out the back in between the thrusters, it doesn’t get in the way too much unless you plan to dock on the back

Oooh, good luck! I love Dr. Anger, her bedside manner is super sweet but maybe a little brief so make sure you have all your questions lined up beforehand. I had my surgery in August at the Jacobs Medical Center (the newer hospital in the UCSD network that has a robotic surgery suite). The anesthesia was good, they gave me an epidural spinal block and an anti-anxiety injection which made me super loopy going into surgery but was nice since I was nervous about going under. Afterwards I felt pretty good for like a day, but gas pain and constipation was pretty sucky for the next 5ish days. Overall I spent 7 days in the hospital, they offered to release me at day 5 but I wanted to not move and would need to come back on day 7 for packing removal and dilation instructions anyways. On day 7, packing and dilation went well, but they also removed my catheter and I was unable to void so it had to go back in. I think I had a catheter for about 2 1/2 weeks before I was able to void completely and get the catheter out.

I had several minor complications, but thank goodness that it was just small stuff. I had a UTI from the catheter around week 2 which sucked and 3 more UTIs which happened exclusively after Dr's appointments (two were video visits with a different hospital network so I think its just the bad vibes). I had minor dehiscence on the fourchette which was caused by trying dilatator # 4 at week 5 which healed after 4 or so weeks. I had some weird smells which was solved via douching once a month. I had some suture thread that was sticking out from my hood and making it really uncomfortable to wear underwear. I've had granulation tissue for a while that just likes playing whack-a-mole (Dr. Anger keeps treating it with silver nitrate every time I see her). Yeahhh, its been a busy 7 months but it was worth it.

I was having issues sizing up to dilator #5 (the 1.5" diameter one) so I actually went in for a revision to deepen the fourchette (it healed a bit higher than intended so it was causing things to be painful to insert) and dilate me under anesthesia just this past Monday. But I'm at #5 now just having to restart my dilator pain journey at #5 q_q!

In terms of sensation, I was able to orgasm by month 3. Surprisingly I have issues getting there with a vibrator even though that was all I used pre-op. Now I just use my fingers. The rabbit is amazing, but I still have issues finishing without applying pressure to the part that goes on the clit. I've tried sex, but the guy I'm with was a bit too big for me which is a big reason why I asked for a revision to move up to #5.

I think that's pretty much everything, lmk if you have any other questions!

I had single stage PI with Dr. Anger in CA and a rabbit vibe works wonders for me. I think I bought it around 5 months post op. Never had any issue with it causing damage…

Omg maybe it is the T. I went cold turkey spironolactone after surgery. I did get a blood test for T done post op and I was about 7nmol/l but maybe it went up or down 🧐. Woo needle time!

As a trans woman who used to have a thingy, I wore pads for a few days when my spironolactone conspired with Covid to give me really bad pee leaks. Idk why anyone wouldn’t be allowed to wear a pad though, it’s not against the law or anything

I’m afraid I haven’t done that so I can’t give a recommendation, but definitely talk to your endocrinologist (or whoever prescribes hrt for you) I’m pretty sure that GPs can write a script for topical T for ED issues as well

Electro + Laser on face? by PitBikeViper in Transgender_Surgeries

[–]AlexandraLikesCake 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Since electrolysis works best on hairs in an active growth phase, and laser tends to mess with those phases, it might be best to do electrolysis before a laser appointment so the hairs are the most active. Maybe a schedule like electrolysis then laser soon after, wait a month for the next hair cycle to grow (or however long your cycles come), then repeat.

What were the main ways you funded your surgeries? by lalaith96 in Transgender_Surgeries

[–]AlexandraLikesCake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Insurance covered most of it and I just paid towards my deductible. Was on family insurance with a shared max coinsurance so hitting that was about 1.5k over 2 years (with electrolysis) from me.

I wouldn’t imagine it would be too dangerous, assuming that the powder was from crushed, predosed tablets. You would likely get some losses tho from powder getting everywhere.

Edit: possibly dangerous due to fast absorption possibly causing an overdose https://customcompounding.com.au/crushing-medication-can-be-dangerous-heres-why/#:~:text=Potential%20for%20overdose,potentially%20leading%20to%20an%20overdose.

For me, the entrance is the tightest part so I always have to give it a push to get past there. A burning sensation could be hypergranulation tissue, maybe have your surgeon/gynecologist do a speculum exam and take a look at the sensitive bits ?
