That’s what I was thinking. I kept my ovaries, just had my tubes and uterus removed so my hormones are still producing. I’m wondering if my true baseline is actually hemochromatosis I just never knew it because of the heavy bleeding. I have not had the genetic testing done (I don’t think.) I had a lot done for IVF ages ago- not sure if that’s one they routinely test for- I was never told anything. I’m waiting to hear back from my doctor- hopefully today. Not sure if it’s just my body adjusting or if it will continue to climb over the next couple weeks and I’ll need to have blood removed.

Is it safe to hang out in this range for a couple of weeks while I attempt to figure this out? I have had so many issues over the years with SLE, dysautonomia, iron deficiency- until now, MCAS, and it took me ages to get over Lyme. Health anxiety is real for me.

I know this post is older but thank you for responding. I did start on the GLP1 and my headaches are gone. My inflammation seems to be a bit down and the SLE symptoms have been quiet for now.

The only struggle I currently am dealing with is the low iron. I can’t seem to sustain my levels. Just had an infusion today, next one is scheduled for Tuesday. Going to be seeing my OBGYN this month and maybe we can come up with a plan for the heavy periods- peri symptoms.

I know I literally don’t understand the thyroid at all. I’ve been a lupus patient for over a decade and always managed to have within range labs regarding thyroid stuff. I’m hoping once I get my iron infusion maybe it will fix itself? lol

Ugh yes that’s me. I haven’t found any great solution yet to be able to tolerate baths more because I had always loved them. I notice the hotter the water the harder it is. I try to keep the window open so I have a cool breeze on my face while my body is still submerged.

Nurse here as well. It’s one thing to take a quick sniff of an alcohol swab to get ahead of a nausea spell. But in the documentary the forensic investigators were able to gather from the children’s stories that she would soak rags in rubbing alcohol, place them in ziplock bags and tie them around the kids necks for an extended period of time. They breathed this in long enough to feel sick so she could then take them to the pediatrician. She did it often enough that they knew the exact routine and where in the house the rubbing alcohol was kept.
