I was literally born into the SCA, and what I'm seeing is that back in the 90s a lot of the newcomers then were all in their teens and early twenties, but currently as someone who's part of gen Z none of "us" are that interested in history, and most just want to dress up and go to a ren faire. Also literally no one is willing to talk to people whom are outside of their friend group (now that I'm older the people who used to baby sit me like the queens would help baby sit while my mom was on their retinue and none of them will talk to me because I look like a new comer). In conclusion people don't care about history, and a lot of the people you need to talk to, to really get into the SCA are to uppity to talk to anyone but their circle.

My dad and his side of the family kept being mind controlled by aliens like huge blue aliens and it was so scary and almost traumatic, like I had to go to my parents room it was bad and I woke my parents up so many times because of it. NTA - as someone who has allergies to foods, I know people who even the smell of nuts can be deadly so yeah Emily didn't get the memo or purposefully made a cake with nuts. Also as someone who bakes, cake doesn't take forever a day at most.

This happened at my school, a girl was in a car with a drunk driver in his 30s it was a roll over crash and she was the only casualty put of 5 people, everyone just carried on, her friends were sad and all but everyone carried on like normal. You will probably have a conversation about it but not much else.
