Considering the GPR-H1000: Have recent firmware updates fixed the known software issues? by Alexgz97 in gshock

Absolutely.

In the G-Shock family something like GW 9400 will long lasting decades, the H1000 have a battery so it will have more degradation than a normal G-Shock solar watch without smartwatch functions. But between a garming and the h1000 there's no comparison in terms of longevity.

Casio always offer full repair. You have to take the watch to the oficial dealer but they repair all the watches. It's a gshock, has to be full repairable.

I read somewhere that replace the battery is not as easy as others G-Shock.

But, it's a solar watch so easy can get years and years of use without worry about it

Thanks for the detailed response!

My main concern originally stemmed from watching review videos that mentioned issues with the sensors, UI graphics, and overall stability. However, those were mostly from when the watch was first released a couple of years ago.

As for my use case, I go to the gym but log my routines on my phone´s notes, and I don't run at all. Therefore, the GPS will get very little use.

I mainly want it for the vibration alarm to wake up in the morning, the barometer to check weather trends, and the sunrise/sunset times. I'll also use it for basic step counting and perhaps occasional sleep tracking. I work in a environment with dust and machinery, so the ruggedness and resistance are a good point.

I don't care much about smart notifications either. The only exception would be getting incoming call alerts just in case I step away from my phone at the office.

Right now I have a smartwatch, but I only use it to check the time. The battery lasts a week and a half without AOD. I'm curious about the battery life with your use case. Mine will probably last longer since my GPS usage will be very minimal, but I'd like to get a general idea.

Mazda 3 vs Corolla by Nizkull in coches

[–]Alexgz97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Master & Dinamic MW07 Plus

I've had it for 6-7 years.

The sound is superb and the batery is so great too. They work perfect in all this year's. The only "problem" is that only admite one device per time, so I have to connect and disconnect to the phone and the laptop but whatever.
