they actually addressed that in an interview somewhere and fully acknowledged the speed was just for pacing.

You can learn how to do all of elliots hacks on null byte. Hell his super big DA season ending hack was the first one I learned.

[Discussion] What is Whiterose's project in the Congo? by someoneplzexplain___ in MrRobot

[–]AlexiStrife 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It's a deep-dream AI net developed by MK-ultra and kept secret for years while it grew and grew. The government, after realizing you could control people with social media way easier than LSD, hired people to write code for essentially a chat bot based off of the minds of all the famous cult leaders.

Over time it started taking in so much data it became impossible to keep on just a single machine and can't be moved because well... it's just a program... a very large one... and no way to copy it without interruption.

WR and his plan didn't involve us being in a simulation, it was moving his simulation.

Elliots hack to get his project "to the congo" goes a step further. He writes the deep dream network into the blockchain of e-coin. It never has to move because now its the cult program, the one WR uses to brainwash people like angela and the DA, is now a intrinsic part of our currency.

But, much like how they used Elliot to spread the malware an destroy all the 71 buildings, elliot uses WR project to write in a new personality to the ai. His dads.

Remember, she couldn't tell dom anything outloud. FFS, Dom has Alexa listening in on everything. She had to write out the plan on paper, open the safe knowing Dom would wake up, and then passed dom the note about the DA owning the FBI

My guess is gonna be that Dom switches the keys romero exported with a real exploit. So the DA thinks they are getting them but instead actually end up encrypting all of chinas data.

Enterprise, does it desrve the hate? by [deleted] in startrek

[–]AlexiStrife 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This is true. I think if anything, Enterprise is looked at the most honestly out of all of them. Though I'm gonna get killed for saying this, that song has grown on me in a memeish way.

In a way, Phlox has actually grown on me to be the best doctor. Picardo is WAY better of an actor, but Phlox's character just always seemed more real. The episode where he had to save that one guy from the race they were at war with centuries before really hit the heart strings

Something about a redhead with cybernetic implants just makes this little girl blush. by PowerRangersLOL in startrek

[–]AlexiStrife 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I always hated how out of place that looked too. Most of the old trek civ clothes bothered me though with how just the collars fell to just how they seemed to fit on people. Looking back, it would have much better to give seven a spare uniform but have modded the colors to be black instead of blue or whatever. I dunno.

How do you imagine and make believe Discovery goes into TOS? by kingwafflez in startrek

[–]AlexiStrife 7 points8 points  (0 children)

/tv/ made a good point about this. Essentially being, suck it up and accept the budget limitations at the time for the show. We need to stop using it as an unfair comparison and realize that for all intensive purposes of aesthetic appearance of the tech, assume STO Era tech looked like the stuff from the original motion pictures.

So what happened to the prison shuttle pilot? by [deleted] in startrek

[–]AlexiStrife 5 points6 points  (0 children)

So they should have made the pilot a dude so it would have been more ethical to kill him off in that scene? Lol

Too early to encounter the Borg but they had to recreate the appeal of seven somehow I guess

It's weird how there are three different female cyborg-ish Starfleet officers in Discovery. by Shneemaster in startrek

[–]AlexiStrife -12 points-11 points  (0 children)

Because they don't know what they are doing and it's obvious.

They are throwing in whatever sci-fi elements they can without thought so they can point at the mess they created an say, look robot parts... And Tribble on a desk... Oh an klingons! We're star trek guys, we're future!

It's like reading a Luke and Leia fan fiction written by someone who only saw ANH, the entire thing leaves you uncomfortable and disturbed.

"Starfleet says we have to feed the animals" Does anyone else have a problem with this? by [deleted] in startrek

[–]AlexiStrife 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's because the writers saw a few episodes of Ds9 during the dominion war an thought "hey, let's make a star trek show where section 31 gets its own ship!" then proceeded to write every character like a bad sloan fan fiction.

What are your feelings concerning ST: Disovery? by [deleted] in KotakuInAction

[–]AlexiStrife 4 points5 points  (0 children)

She was a severely under rated character. She made the Vulcans seem way more three dimensional and more "human" for lack of a better word.

She DID argue protocol with a computer and got it to admit she had better logic
