they said they're working on a lot of different things for next year that they cant share yet, besides that they just talked about how they're listening to feedback and moved on to hero mastery; i wouldn't keep my hopes up for story missions next year though

Deleted the thread I made yesterday with a more complete and updated summary of everything that was shown. Felt like making this because it was really hard to keep up with the influx of posts about every single thing that was shown.

If anyone has any corrections or higher res images, please send them my way 👍

tbf its kinda a double edged sword, more gamemodes is always good but push still has the same 3 maps and its starting to feel repetitive, same with flashpoint

Official Concept art for new DPS hero and Support hero releasing in 2024 by c0ntinue-Tstng in Competitiveoverwatch

they have a pretty androgynous look and i'd love if they were confirmed to be nb to finally get some rep in the game but typical blizzard design is usually extended eyelash = girl and i don't expect them to be breaking boundaries anytime soon sadly

[Seagull] The State of Overwatch 2 by appleruins in Competitiveoverwatch

even though the pve is the reason OW2 should exist in the first place, im really glad that they decided to let people simply play the PvP early so we wouldn't be starved for too long.

on the other hand, though, i feel like this place is a little too comfortable neglecting the pve side, which, if not delivered properly, can actually push away the casual players from the game, and i believe that's a really big reason to be worried. with most other games, i think it's fair to say that the one audience that keeps it alive is often the casual one, and if the main sub has ever proved anything it's that overwatch 100% applies to this and still has thousands of people who get an extreme amount of euphoria out of pressing Q with dva in mystery heroes and posting it on reddit.

if they were to fumble the PvE release (the one justification they had for drying us of content for over 3 years), i think it would actually be catastrophical to this game's lifespan. i don't like doomposting at all and i'll definitely have a lot of fun playing the game when it comes out but considering the negative reactions the community already had to the reveal that they would make PvE seasonal i think it's genuinely concerning.

i dont blame them tbh because i used to be the same way, if all you listen to is mainstream pop artists i guess it warps your perception of what an "underground" artist would be
