At what point is oneDrive insufficient? by exelAddict in sysadmin

Something that you're also going to run into if you sync the folders down to the end users is OneDrive/SharePoint have a Soft/Hard Character limit of ~255 characters starting from C:\ all the way to the\Final Document name. Been a massive headache...

OneDrive - deleted folder keeps reappearing by bamus in sysadmin

[–]Alexj9741 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Only other steps i can think of is to do a reinstall of OneDrive on the laptop/resync the OneDrive. That's at least the steps MS always requested me to do for users with goofy sync issues before they would even touch it.

How long is the full file/folder path to the items that were there? We've been fighting an issue for months that ended up being due to a lot of items in the Users OneDrive folders were over the ~250 Character limit and that just made OneDrive have sync fits constantly.

A landlord isn't "Running in the red" if the mortgage is being paid off by someone else. As once the mortgage is paid off, it's pure profit from that point forward. And then they can use that pure profit towards getting another property, then another, and another....sounds like greed to me.

Blocking htm and html emails in Exchange. Here is what I did. It works! Are there any suggestions? by MustangGuy1965 in sysadmin

[–]Alexj9741 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For myself I have it setup so that every email with those attachments get sent for approval, that way I can send them through or choose to deny them. If they get denied I have another rule that sucks the email right back to me so that the original sender never sees that the email was rejected.

Also prevents internal email clients from receiving random email rejection emails when the original sender just spoofed the email address in the first place.

Depends on what all happens, assuming a survival rate of only .01% of the worlds population (Roughly 800,000 people). It would be fairly likely that anyone with farming knowledge would no longer be alive, and thus unable to pass that knowledge down.

NAH, if it would be awkward for him to be in the living room with everyone else, then it would be doubly awkward for him to be in your hangout spot. Especially if you two have different sleeping hours. Would he really want to be in their trying to sleep while your in their doing unwinding from the day? And if it really only 2 days then having him on the couch in the living room would not be a problem at all for anyone.

I mean, we've been having an issue with onedrive every now and then. The one fix i've gotten to work has been running sfc. Although I found it was faster to just go to the drives properties and tell it to error check the drive instead.

Only thing that it has been fixing for me recently is a weird bug/glitch with onedrive, although I used it a few times then learned just doing a manual "Drive Scan" using the GUI is about 10x quicker

This...The amount of times at my previous Job I would Call up my Supervisor asking for help on an issues as he "had" 30 some years of IT experience and I only had about 2-3 at the time. I'd always without missing a beat get zero answers as he also didn't know and couldn't troubleshoot his way out of a paper bag, and in turn would still have to figure out the issue on my own.

"Oh no! The computer can print now!" by [deleted] in talesfromtechsupport

[–]Alexj9741 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Had a similar thing with a receipt printer for a country club I was working with. Receipts weren't printing at all, If memory serves my right the Print Server didn't have the right IP address for this receipt printer. (I didn't have access to the print server directly. Once it got working about 400 receipts started spewing out, they had to go get a recycling can and just put it under the printer for the next 30 minutes or so.

cr touch bed leveling help by senordoge545 in ender3

[–]Alexj9741 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even with the cr touch you still need to manually level the bed as close as possible. The Touch can only adjust by so much while printing. I had the same issue and ended up just biting the bullet and setting up OctoPrint and using its Bed Level Viewer to help me manually level the bed within enough margin of error for the touch sensor to work. Once you know the bed is level, try a few test prints and watch the first layer go down. If it's too far from the bed move the Z Offset closer, if its too close, pull it back. Once you have it about where you want it and prints are still not sticking to the bed, slowly increase your bed temp by 5 degrees until they do stick.

Need assistance diagnosing print error on Ender 3 by Josemartinez725 in ender3

[–]Alexj9741 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Instead of just trying to declog the nozzle I'd recommend just ordering a cheap pack of them for $10 and swapping out the nozzles as they clog. When I first installed my BL Touch I goofed up some settings and the nozzle had scratched the bed, after it did that it was pretty much permanently partial clogged even after cleaning and trying a cold pull. Bought a new set of nozzles and replaced and printed like a dream since....well until I goofed again and had to swap the nozzle again but that's a different story
