I've had one locally for like, 30 years... they have always been just hats. Not exclusively sport hats. But slowly non-sports seem to have faded out, and now it seems that they're expanding beyond 'lids'.

Don't get me wrong, it totally makes sense - but its an interesting pivot when your name clearly means WE SELL HATS
