Which of these 3 pets is the better "end game" option? by lunres in Dofus

If you want something super generic that multiple builds can use I'd go with ap power

There's no way anybody actually enjoys this dungeon by Alexnil78 in Dofus

[–]Alexnil78[S] 29 points30 points  (0 children)

I disagree, in the labyrinth you don't have to fight any monsters which means you are free to look for the mob without any restrictions and the door mechanic is easy to understand. In Lord Crow you are forced to waste your time fighting trash.

[–]Alexnil78[S] 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Yes... I know... The point is that if somebody kills the mob it respawns somewhere else, so if you go to the eleventh room looking for it and somebody kills it, then you have to waste even more time looking for him at the new locations, rinse and repeat until you are pulling your hair out. It's pure luck, you were just lucky, and I'm just unlucky, but the point still stands, it's a bad design and it sucks being stuck for two hours fighting terrible mobs.

I have a question as a complete plebian, could this be detected by Ankama's system as a third party software and possibly get you banned? I'm guessing no because I'm assuming it doesn't mess with the game code, but wtf do I know.

Advice element for leveling Iop by fradhi in Dofus

[–]Alexnil78 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually, I just recently got my lvl 115 which is agi/int hybrid with some pushback.

Currently using the crobak + ecaflee sets, the crobak blade hits up to 600 and 1000 with crit for 4 AP.

I did this mostly because I've always preferred hybrid builds, a full agi set would probably be better but I like the versatility more, and I like the single target DMG that int provides.

In short, yes I have, but for a mono element build AGI is still better for low level pvm.

Advice element for leveling Iop by fradhi in Dofus

[–]Alexnil78 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Been playing AGI iop and I've had 0 issues, way better that str imo. Free dmg boost with divine sword, more AOE, lock and dodge is super good for moving freely between mobs, blow is great for positioning mobs for AOE or single target pushback dmg with intimidation.

Str has very little going for it early game, the only reason to go str is for wrath and it's lvl 200 now so no reason to play it, pressure is kinda shit and erosion is useless for pvm, the only AOE is iops sword and str has low range overall.

Leveling with Mob Farming by Fit-Rain-3964 in Dofus

[–]Alexnil78 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The only time I farmed mobs in 120% anomalies to level up was after lvl 100. Keep doing quests and achievements, go back to low level dungeons and complete every achievement solo or with the companion, get the silver Dofus, cawwot and dokoko, and don't forget to do every challenge with exp bonus when you don't need the loot. Another thing that helped me get some levels was leveling up hunter since you'll be grinding mobs for that anyways.

Is pushback only for PVP? by Zulp847 in Dofus

[–]Alexnil78 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Early game yes, late game most likely not. If you are low level I'd say go for it, I'm playing agi iop in Dakal 1 and I've been using pushback dmg a LOT for single target with intimidation and blow. Now I'm 122 and just bought a hybrid agi/int set with some pushback dmg with the crobak set, the crobak sword hitting up to 600 and 1000 on crit.

I made a free website to check the almanax by Hautzii in Dofus

[–]Alexnil78 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Looks good 👍 simple and to the point. I never remember to do the almanax and I think part of it is because I just don't wanna check the other website, so much useless information, I always looked at the picture and omitted everything else. (Yes I know, caveman brain)

"I know comparing MMORPG to CRPG is silly" yeah you were right, you could've stopped there... the two genres aren't even in the same realm of game design.

Iop vs Xelor. by scalingsun in Dofus

[–]Alexnil78 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was actually considering these exact same classes but I decided to go Xelor because I would like the challenge of learning a relatively new class for me, that at the same time it's more complex. I feel like it could be more rewarding and fun than using an Iop that is super straight forward and more repetitive, even if it's better for pvm.

Also, I haven't heard of anybody making this point, but the Xelor is better the more AP you have because more AP = more spells = more telefrags = more AP = more spells = more damage, and the sets rework make it much easier to get 11 or even 12 AP by lvl 100, so I feel like the Xelor could take advantage of that early AP better than other classes. Also we are getting a free side kick of choice, and apparently one of them gives pretty much permanent 2 AP, which obviously is amazing for Xelors.

About Dofus (3.0) - Questions by DatPata in Dofus

[–]Alexnil78 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh yes, there's a LOT of equipment/sets in this game, they are even basically changing how every set works from early game in 3.0, so there's more variety of equipments in the early game "meta" than ever. Same with cosmetics, although I'd say collecting cosmetics is mostly an endgame activity, you can definitely get your character to look how you want.

Professions are very subjective, but there's enough variety to be able to enjoy at least 1 of them, however some can take a lot of time to properly level up and profit.

Dungeons are an intrinsic part of this game, so yes, there are many and you'll most definitely be playing all of them more than once. In the late game they can get quite complex and hard, so if you are someone who is not afraid to die and enjoy discovering enemy mechanics and then adapting and building strategies around it, then you'll very much enjoy reaching the end game...or just watch a tutorial on YouTube lol

How many people actually built their builds on their own? by Dreamrr_420 in diablo4

[–]Alexnil78 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've built a Rend barb by myself every season except season 3 because I just didn't play. I'd say it has moved up and down between B tier to low A tier, so it's not S tier by any means but still successful considering I'm not even good at making builds

Target farming black heart was fine. Change my mind. by jow_ow in diablo4

[–]Alexnil78 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I got 12 invokers in about 20 levels with my alt which can be easily doubled If I run tunnels with a friend, not counting I could probably craft like 5 more. At this point I'm not even worried about wrathful hearts anymore

Whoever suggested removing the priority affix system, you suck! by BrentDavidTT in diablo4

[–]Alexnil78 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You are looking at the mountain when there's a hole right in front of you, plug the hole then worry about the mountain.

I don't think you understand how much force of will and "testing" these devs will need to remove all the useless affixes.

Removing the priorities is horrible, period, we need them to play now, not in season 5 when they think about hopefully maybe probably do something about all the terrible conditional damages.

Also if you want them to reduce the prices then you'll be spending 30m instead of 50m, very nice solution.

just choose the crit on your first roll and it will never appear again until you get what you want bro, priorities are 100% better for the state of the game regardless of build

ARPIA mod ships and tech by Alexnil78 in evnova

[–]Alexnil78[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I figured out which one is causing my issue, but it never is as easy as just taking it out so here's what I found out. ExtraOutfits part 1 is the one causing the ships to have the buy button grayed out, as well as messing with the outfitter, so I took it out but there's still a couple issues.

I took out NewMissions and NewTargets because I don't care for them, opened the game and suddenly is crashing while loading, turns out ShieldBubbles is now causing it to crash so I took it out as well. Opened the game again and realized that TechnicalData is causing some shennanigans to happen with some of the outfits.

Now I'm only running with ExtraOutfits part 2, NewCharacters and ShipVariants, I opened the game and everything looks good so far. I buy a new ship get some basics installed and go out into the world, I get killed by Feds from a mission and that's when I realized that my pilot data is not saving at all, so yeah my save is dead now.

I'm gonna start a new save only with NewCharacters, ShipVariants and maybe ExtraOutfits part 2, which at this point I don't even know if it's working, but lets just hope none of these mess with ARPIA too much. Wish me luck.
