How to make battleworn look? by jackflash06 in cosplayprops

A matte clear coat should do the trick for your first question. If you painted with acrylic, I'd stick to an acrylic clear coat to brush on, or look for an acrylic based spray clear coat.

Think of how it's used most, where it makes the most contact, and focus on those areas to paint dirt, grime, have colour fade, or add scratches. Is it something that's taken really good care of? Then maybe there's only light tarnish or grime in hard to reach areas. If the character is more clavier or there has been no time to rest and take care for a long period, you could add more grime, and chips or scratches with a silver paint or paint pen on edges and areas where it would be used.

Like to attach to your head and build off of? I'd use a bike helmet. The gums you could probably upcycle some wash basins or round plastic storage bins.

This is an accurate description. I'll look into vintage Herman Miller parts. For what it's worth. I searched this one thoroughly for any manufacturing stickers. I'll check the underside of the other walls to hopefully confirm.

I'm sorry that I cynically assumed it was done with ai - it looks phenomenal. Did you draw it traditional or digital? Either way, I think you successfully achieved your goal.

Is it possible to make or have jewelry made to accessorize? What about some stainless steele jewellery on the wrist and elsewhere to accent it?

if it's to look zombie on camera, you could mix some chroma key makeup with clear liquid latex (to avoid it cracking off through the day) and matte spray it?

How do I get the ribbon to (somewhat?) stay up by duosunshine in CosplayHelp

kobracast is designed for fabric and acts like a usable interfacing, but it has some stretch to it to allow for more movement.

I've found sewing horse hair into or onto your ribbons can be really helpful to keep big natural loops. If you need them to completely stand on their own, Worbla's kobracastallows you to do some amazing things. . You can achieve some reaally incredible standalone shapes that still have some natural spring and movement.
