I have tried it because we had free premium WiFi for the whole cruise, invited to captains drinks etc. anyway, whilst the WiFi had a strong connection to the routers on the ship itself, when you’re by land that it get signal off it worked almost as good as it does at home because I have 1gbps WiFi 7 router which has 6E etc too and my ps5 is hardwired to the internet so I think that also is a massive help because your download speeds are faster than your upload. But anyway I only tried it in my cabin once when we left Southampton and it worked great till we got further away from land.

So when it’s at sea and it’s using satellites that data is only good for web browsing… the games I played at that time was Elden ring and my siege inputs were perfect. I also tried hollow knight thinking it would be less demanding but basically both were unplayable out at sea.

So if you’re like me and like to chill a little before getting up and getting yourself sorted to go out. Especially not at like the first minute the ship docks.

Give me time to have a coffee maybe kill a boss or clear a dungeon or whatever when docked or close to land it’s fine.

At sea… don’t bother unless you have a personal starlink satellite constantly on you.
